Bay Street Theater and Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is pleased to present an upcoming benefit concert to raise funds for hurricane victims around the country. The benefit will take place at Bay Street Theater on Sunday, October 1 from 4-6pm, and emceed by Southampton Town Supervisor, Jay Schneiderman who is helping organize the event. Suggested donations for adults are $20 and $10 per child, but any amount will be accepted. Donations can be made at the box office only. The box office is open Tuesday Saturday, 11 am 5 pm, and Sunday Oct 1 from 2pm onward. Anyone not available to attend on October 1 may make a donation at the box office any time prior to that date.

Benefits by Bay Street has announced a successful Hurricane Relief Benefit Concert was held on Sunday, October 1 to raise funds for victims of recent hurricanes. The concert took place at Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts and was co-hosted and emceed by Southampton Town Supervisor, Jay Schneiderman and Bay StreetExecutive Director, Tracy Mitchell. Nearly $19,000 was raised from donations and matching gifts, as well as raffles and auction items from local businesses and artisans. Scroll down for photos!

On Sunday, December 8, Joe Allen, owner of Joe Allen Restaurant, Orso Restaurant, and Bar Centrale (W. 46th Street, NYC) will be donating 50% of the entire day's proceeds from all three restaurants to Save the Children for the organization's Typhoon Haiyan Children's Relief Fund to benefit children affected by the super typhoon in the Philippines.

Benefits by Bay Street presented TYPHOON RELIEF FOR THE PHILIPPINES night of bands on Sunday, November 24. The lineup of bands included LOLA, THE VANDETTAS, NANCY ATLAS, INDA EATON, HOODOO LOUNGERS, GENE CASEY, RICK DAVIES, ESCOLA de SAMBA BOOM and JOE DELIA and the THIEVES. The night of fundraising included a silent auction and was co-hosted by Suffolk County Legislator Jay Schneiderman and Bonnie Grice for WPPB. After Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines, people around the world were moved by stories of devastation and suffering. Channel 7 ABC Eyewitness News reporter Nina Pineda launched a campaign called Flip Flops for the Philippines, and the community at the Elisabeth Morrow School quickly answered the call to donate shoes to help those in need.

The Philippine Independence Day Council, Inc. (PIDCI), which works year-round for the largest Philippine Independence Day celebrations in the East Coast of the United States in June, together with the Miss World Organization (MWO), held a fundraiser--about 230 people attended-- at Double Tree by Hilton in Newark, New Jersey last night, November 20. Bay Street Theater and Sag Harbor Center for the Arts presented a benefit concert to raise funds for Sag Harbor's Volunteer Ambulance and Fire Departments, entitled A NIGHT OF THANKS, that took place at Bay Street Theater on Thursday, January 19 at 7 pm. The evening raised $15,000 which will be split evenly between these two organizations. Funds for the Ambulance Department will be put towards a new ambulance or ancillary equipment, while funds for the Fire Department have been earmarked for turnout gear.
