Turning Point Ensemble (TPE) is excited to kick off its 2019/20 Season with a concert of musical innovators present and past, featuring Couloir, the harp and cello duo of Heidi Krutzen and Ariel Barnes. The concert will include two premiere works, The Razor Hiss of a Whisper, by James Maxwell for TPE, Couloir and electronics soundscape and And/Or by Anthony Tan for TPE and electronics. The concert will also include pieces by Ruth Crawford Seeger and Sabrina Schroeder.  The concert is being performed on Nov. 9 & 11th at 7:30pm at the Orpheum Annex, 823 Seymour. St, Vancouver.

Pegasus: The Orchestra will make their Merkin Hall debut on Saturday, November 23rd at 8pm led by conductor Karén! Hakobyan. Glenn Dicterow, the legendary former concertmaster of New York Philharmonic, will join Pegasus concertmaster Eiko Kano for Bach's Double Violin Concerto. Opening the program will be the world premiere of Hakobyan's Contempo: Bach Recombinant and to close, Tchaikovsky's beloved Serenade for Strings.

The New Brunswick Performing Arts Center (NBPAC), City of New Brunswick, and George Street Playhouse today announced The Elizabeth Ross Johnson Theater and The Arthur Laurents Theater named after two George Street Playhouse benefactors. The $7.75 million in gifts, the largest in George Street Playhouse history, strengthens NBPAC as the premier center for the performing arts. NBPAC, a $172 million redevelopment initiative that will transform New Brunswick's Downtown Cultural Arts District, opens its doors to the public this fall.

Talk about your inside story! Colleen Neary and Thordal Christensen founded the LAB in 2004, the one and only professional classical ballet company in Los Angeles. Of all ballet companies in existence, this company is a valuable resource for not only preserving classic ballets, but nurturing the creativity of the future work to be evolved.

The production's roots in Australia run deep: the film was made in Australia, brought to life by the great Australian artists Baz Luhrmann, Catherine Martin, and Nicole Kidman. The musical was brought to the stage by Australian-based producers Carmen Pavlovic, Gerry Ryan and their production company, Global Creatures. The Broadway musical features Australian actors in the cast.

Breaking Glass Pictures has acquired North American rights to the beautifully filmed mystery thriller and noir feature NAPLES IN VEILS from writer/director Ferzan Ozpetek (Steam: The Turkish Bath, His Secret Life).
