Ohio State Theatre returns to the Southern to present the Tony Award-winning, pop-rock musical Aida, with music by Elton John, lyrics by Tim Rice, and direction by Jimmy Bohr. Based on the book by Linda Woolverton, Robert Falls, and David Henry Hwang, this contemporary take on a classic love story tells the tale of a forbidden love between an enslaved Nubian princess and an Egyptian soldier forced to face death or part forever. Together, they set a shining example of true devotion that ultimately transcends the vast cultural differences between their warring nations, heralding a time of unprecedented peace and prosperity.

BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON, which opened on Broadway on October 13, uses the story of America's controversial seventh president-the man who invented the Democratic Party, doubled the size of our nation and signed the Indian Removal Acts that started the Trail of Tears - to investigate the attraction and terrors of American populism, using a raucous blend of outrageous comedy, anarchic theatricality and infectious emo rock. A co-production with Center Theatre Group and in association with Les Freres Corbusier, BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON is written and directed by Alex Timbers and features music and lyrics by Michael Friedman. A Union filled with the ups and downs of their relationship as they move through their life together, growing, moving, changing, through difficult times and life's lessons until they discover 'Why We Stuck.' 'Duo' is a new work that appeals to everyone from the young couples starting out to couples that are in the middle years-the difficult time in a relationship that is everyday yet long lasting.
