The Actors' Gang presents DANTE, Get Lit's musical adaptation of Dante's Inferno, opening Saturday, July 8! Written by young poet Raul Herrera, adapted by Diane Luby Lane and directed by Cynthia Ettinger, DANTE will begin with 2 previews, July 6 and 7, and will continue for 10 performances only, July 8 - July 29, 2017.

At the conclusion of last night's performance of Verdi's Rigoletto, San Francisco Opera General Director Matthew Shilvock presented the Company's Head of Wardrobe, Geoffry M. Craig, with the San Francisco Opera Medal, the Company's highest honor. Craig joined the Wardrobe Department staff in 1981 as a dresser, became Head of Men's Wardrobe in 1986 and assumed his current position of Deparment Head in 1999. After 36 years of service, Craig will retire from San Francisco Opera at the end of the 2017 Summer Season.

The Hollywood Bowl has announced the cast and creative team for a benefit performance of SONDHEIM ON SONDHEIM, with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, conceived and directed on Broadway by James Lapine.

Totem Pole Playhouse, Pennsylvania's premiere summer theatre, presented their annual Totem Pole Playhouse Awards last evening for outstanding production and performances by area high school students in a ceremony at Gettysburg College's Majestic Theater. The playhouse's fourth annual presentation was filled with the usual enthusiastic performances by the participating high school students, the surprise appearance of a four-time Emmy Award-winning TV star as a guest presenter, and $4,000.00 in new scholarship money.

Albert, concludes the 2016-2017 Season with the Pulitzer Prize-winning comedy Harvey by Mary Chase, directed by Devon De Mayo. Harvey runs May 11 - June 11, 2017 at Court Theatre, 5535 S. Manhattan Theatre Club's new Broadway production of Lillian Hellman's The Little Foxes, starring Laura Linney and Cynthia Nixon, opens tonight at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street).

Toys Production in association withCircle X Theatre Co. of a very unique immersive event, FEFU AND HER FRIENDS, written by Maria Irene Fornes, with choreography by Zsofia Nemes, musical composition by Daniel Szabo and directed by Kate Jopson. FEFU AND HER FREIENDS is the first play EVER to be performed at the iconic house, which is located in the heart of Barnsdall Art Park, a vibrant, artistic and recreational destination. The Actors' Gang's new musical production of Harlequino: On to Freedom will have its U.S. Premiere on March 25, as part of the theater's 2017 Spring Season of Justice. Written and directed by Tim Robbins, Harlequino: On to Freedom is a raucous celebration of the rebel slave, Harlequino.

The Lyric Hammersmith has announced its new season running May 2017 to January 2018 including three major new productions: a UK premiere, a new adaptation of a classic and the return of the now traditional Lyric pantomime.

The 52nd Street Project makes a difference in the lives of countless Hell's Kitchen (Clinton) kids by pairing them with theater professionals who mentor them through the creation of original theater. Late last month, Viola Davis took home the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Rose Maxson in FENCES. Based on the August Wilson play of the same name, FENCES is the story of an African-American family living in the Hill District of Pittsburgh in 1950s.

Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts and Deaf West Theatre (DWT), the performing arts organizations behind the Tony Award-nominated and Ovation Award-winning revival of Spring Awakening, reunite to bring multiple Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Edward Albee's At Home at the Zoo to life in an innovative and new production. Edward Albee's At Home at the Zoo begins previews on March 7 and will open in the Lovelace Studio Theater at The Wallis on Friday, March 10. CRIMES OF THE HEART, produced by City Theatre, is the Pulitzer prize-winning comedy by Beth Henley. Originally premiering in 1979, the show ran on Broadway in 1981 and garnered a New York Drama Critics' Circle Award for Best American Play. In 1986, a film adaptation starring Jessica Lange, Diane Keaton, and Sissy Spacek was released. The film received three Academy Award nominations, including Best Adapted Screenplay. In recent history, the play was revived and presented at the Williamstown Theatre Festival in 2007, directed by Kathleen Turner. The revival also enjoyed a brief off-Broadway run in 2008 with Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe, and Jennifer Dundas in the starring roles.
