The New Group has announced four productions for its 2017-2018 Season.

Laura Osnes ('Bandstand,' 'Cinderella'), Taylor Louderman ('Kinky Boots,' 'Bring It On: The Musical'), and Desi Oakley ('Wicked,' 'Evita') sang 'The Princess Power Medley,' arranged by musical director Benjamin Rauhala at Feinstein's/54 Below's 5th Anniversary Celebration on June 5th, 2017. The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra announced plans today for the 2017.18 Pops Season. The season includes six subscription concerts: Under the Streetlamp with the cast of Chicago's Jersey Boys; Holiday Pops with Andreas Delfs; a semi-staged production of the beloved musical My Fair Lady; Great Balls of Fire! with pianist Tony DeSare; Patriotic Pops with Stuart Chafetz and Broadway star Capathia Jenkins; and Great American Songbook with Jeff Tyzik and vocalist Ashley Brown.

Celebrated American pianist George Winston will release a cancer research benefit album, Spring Carousel, on RCA Records on March 31, 2017. Spring Carousel features a collection of 15 solo piano compositions written by Winston while in recovery from a bone marrow transplant for Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS) at City of Hope, in Duarte, California, near Los Angeles. Proceeds from sales of Spring Carousel will directly benefit City of Hope. George Winston is available for interviews upon request.

Hackney Empire today announced the full cast of its brand new pantomime for 2016, Sleeping Beauty. The West End's leading lady Alexia Khadime (Wicked, The Book of Mormon, The Lion King) will be returning to the site of her stage debut to star as Princess Tahlia (Sleeping Beauty). She will be joined by Olivier Award-winner Sharon D Clarke who returns to Hackney Empire after her appearance in Mother Goose in 2014. They are joined by Gavin Spokes who makes his dameing debut, he joins the Hackney Empire family straight from his Olivier Award-nominated performance as Nicely Nicely Johnson in Guys and Dolls in the West End.

Disney's Broadway-bound musical FROZEN has a new creative team in place. Tony winning director Michael Grandage will take the helm of the production, replacing Alex Timbers, who departed the show in August.
