Irish Arts Center (IAC), the arts and cultural center dedicated to projecting a dynamic image of Ireland and Irish America for the 21st century, has announced its fall 2017 season. The lineup epitomizes IAC's commitment to building community with a diversity of arts institutions, artists and audiences - in New York, across America, and abroad.

The Fourth Annual Honolulu Ekiden and Music Festival announced today that the Japanese Pop music group SCANDAL will not be performing as planned at the concert at the Waikiki Shell. One of the band members (guitarist, Mami) has fallen ill and is unable to travel but the remaining members of the group will participate in the Ekiden race, running as "TEAM SCANDAL (OFFICIAL)." 

Academy Award winner Helen Mirren will return to Broadway this spring as Elizabeth II in Peter Morgan's The Audience, directed by two-time Tony Award winner Stephen Daldry. Today, The Ground Floor: Berkeley Rep's Center for the Creation and Development of New Work announces that it has selected 18 projects from more than 30 innovative artists for its third Summer Residency Lab. This June, as part of an extraordinary laboratory for collaboration, some of the nation's most prominent and promising writers, directors, and composers will unite at the Theatre's campus in West Berkeley for an intense four-week period to live, dine, and create new plays together. Dozens more local and out-of-town actors and directors will join The Ground Floor process, bringing the number of artists involved close to 100.

The Deep Throat Sex Scandal, a new play by David Bertolino about the making of the famed, groundbreaking, 1970s pornographic film 'Deep Throat,' and the subsequent controversy surrounding the film, announced yesterday that, due to its overwhelming popularity, it is extending its West Coast Premiere run at the Zephyr Theatre, which opened on January 31, for an additional two weeks, now performing through Sunday, April 14. The play will then close.

Chichester Festival Theatre celebrates its 50th birthday with an anniversary season that echoes and acknowledges the past while also looking to the future. Uncle Vanya was part of Chichester's very first season in 1962 and became a key part of its history and is revisited during Festival 2012. The Way of the World in 1984 has also become an emblematic production; the play will feature again this year.
