Paper Mill Playhouse will open its 2014-2015 season with a Broadway-bound, world-class revival of Can-Can starring Kate Baldwin as Pistache and Jason Danieley as Aristide. Can-Can will play the Millburn, New Jersey, theater from tonight, October 1 through October 26, 2014. The official press opening night is Sunday, October 5, at 7:00pm.

BroadwayWorld.com has confirmed the sad news this morning that actress Victoria Mallory died on August 30, 2014 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. She leaves behind her husband (and former A Little Night Music co-star) Mark Lambert, and daughter Ramona Mallory Lambert, also an actress.

Goodspeed Musicals has announced that designer Mark Adam Rampmeyer has joined the organization as the Costume Rental Manager. Mr. Rampmeyer's career has spanned more than 30 years in professional theater and he is very excited to pursue this new career opportunity. In this new position Mark will be responsible for curating the collection of over 250,000 pieces which can be used in Goodspeed productions and rented to professional theatres and universities across the country. Lionel Bart's chirpy old musical hasn't been seen in New York since a short-lived 1983 production starring Patti LuPone. It's said to be Mackintosh's favorite musical, and it's how he got his start in the theater. 'Oliver!' played the New Theatre in London in 1960, and a teenage Mackintosh got a job polishing the brass railing in the theater lobby.'
