West End's Ray Shell to Make London Cabaret Debut with BACK TO BLACK, 18-22 Feb
Now he is making his London cabaret debut with Back to Black at The Pheasantry, 152 Kings Road, Chelsea, London SW3, from Tuesday 18 - Saturday 22 February.
Back to Black will feature Ray's distinctive interpretation of well-known songs from musicals from Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd to current?Broadway hit Kinky Boots and Andrew?Lloyd?Webber's The Phantom of the Opera. Shell is also an internationally acclaimed author and the evening will include him narrating an excerpt from his acclaimed novel Iced, soon to be a major feature film.
After teenage beginnings in shows like The Me Nobody Knows, Ray took the West End by storm in leading roles in Hair, Jesus Christ Superstar, Starlight Express - he was the original Rusty in 1984 - Miss Saigon, he created the role of Normax in 5 Guys Named Moe, Children of Eden, Ain't Misbehavin', the narrator in Dancing in the Streets, Pork in Gone With the Wind, The Lion King, and manager Bill Devaney in The Bodyguard.
Back to Black promises to be an amazing musical journey; an evening of storytelling, song and sensational entertainment from the 'Soul Man of the West End'.
