The Flea Theater has announced the newest Dance @ The Flea series, featuring four choreographers for three nights only. Molissa Fenley, Amanda Loulaki, Nina Winthrop, and Roxanne Steinberg will be presenting original works October 9-11 at 7pm.

Tarragon Theatre presents the world premiere of The Bakelite Masterpiece, written by Tarragon playwright-in-residence Kate Cayley, directed by Tarragon's Artistic Director Richard Rose and starring two award-winning, powerhouse actors, Geordie Johnson and Irene Poole. Lantern Theater Company will open its 21st season with a production of Arcadia by Tom Stoppard in an extended five-week run from today, September 25 - November 2, 2014. To coincide with this production, the Lantern will also present In Arcadia: Celebrating Tom Stoppard's Masterpiece, a four-day festival featuring a panel discussion about the play's rich and varied themes with Stoppard expert Toby Zinman, a high tea, special performances of some of Stoppard's rarely-performed short works, and other experiential events from October 23 - 26.

Virginia's Signature Theatre has appointed Joe Calarco to the new position of Resident Director/Director of New Works. In this position, Calarco will continue to strengthen Signature's commitment to new work by shepherding the development of new musicals and plays and actively seeking the work of original and diverse voices. Calarco will also direct 1-2 shows per season and will continue his work with Signature in The Schools, Signature's flagship education program.

From September 4-14, 2014, Houston Ballet launches its 45th season with the company premiere of John Neumeier's three-act ballet A Midsummer Night's Dream. The ballet is based on Shakespeare's lighthearted play of the same name and follows the hijinks and hilarity that ensues when a well-intentioned plan with a love potion goes awry. Created in 1977, A Midsummer Night's Dream has served as Mr. Neumeier's calling card, being seen as one of his most joyous and popular creations. Houston Ballet is the first American ballet company to perform the famous work and it is the first piece by Mr. Neumeier to enter the Houston Ballet repertoire.

Commissioned by the Finborough Theatre from Cerberus Theatre, the UK premiere and the English world premiere of controversial German playwright Rolf Hochhuth's Sommer 14 - A Dance of Death in a brand new translation opens at the Finborough Theatre for a four week limited season today, 5 August 2014 (Press Night: Thursday, 7 August at 7.30pm).

According to E!, ABC may decide to reboot LOST in the future. LOST was a popular television show that premiered in 2004 and ended in 2010. If rumors are true and ABC is desperate enough to boost its ratings, they may decide to bring back the series either as a spin-off or in some other form.
