Playwrights Horizons has announced complete casting for the World Premiere of CLYBOURNE PARK, a new play by Bruce Norris (The Pain and the Itch at Playwrights Horizons/PH 2006-2007 Season).

Last night, December 7, The Mint Theater Company opened its hotly anticipated production of So Help Me God!, toplined by Kristen Johnston and Anna Chlumsky, to critical raves. The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Andrew D. Hamingson) announced early casting for the 2010 Shakespeare in the Park summer season. Daniel Sullivan will direct THE MERCHANT OF VENICE in rotating rep with THE WINTER'S TALE, directed by Michael Greif. The repertory company will feature Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Solanio/Young Shepherd); Jesse L. Martin (Gratiano/Polixenes); Al Pacino (Shylock); Lily Rabe (Portia/First Gentlewoman); Ruben Santiago-Hudson as (Prince of Morocco/Leontes); and Max Wright (Old Gobbo/Old Shepherd).

Shawn 'Jay-Z' Carter and Will & Jada Pinkett Smith have enthusiastically joined the producing team of Fela!, the new Broadway musical based on the life and music of African composer and performer Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, marking the first Broadway production that these entertainment icons have presented.

A third set of presenters has been announced for the 61st Primetime Emmy (R) Awards airing Sunday, Sept. 20, on CBS. Primetime Emmy Award winners Michael J. The exciting, sweeping work will be co-produced in the 2009-2010 season by Hartford Stage (Michael Wilson, Artistic Director; Michael Stotts, Managing Director) and Signature Theatre Company (James Houghton, Founding Artistic Director; Erika Mallin, Executive Director).

Legendary actor, director, writer and producer Jerry Lewis will make his theatrical directorial debut on Broadway with the new musical, ?THE NUTTY PROFESSOR?, based on the 1963 film that he starred in and co-wrote. With music by Academy Award, Emmy Award, Grammy Award and Pulitzer Prize winner Marvin Hamlisch and a book and lyrics by multiple Tony Award winner and Grammy Nominee Rupert Holmes, the musical is aiming for a bow on Broadway in the 2010/2011 season and is being produced by Loud Watch Productions, LLC.

The Colony Theatre Company presents the first production of its historic 35th anniversary season, the musical sensation, 2 PIANOS 4 HANDS, written by Ted Dykstra and Richard Greenblatt and directed by Tom Frey. 2 PIANOS 4 HANDS will preview on Wednesday, June 17; Thursday, June 18 and Friday, June 19 at 8:00pm and will open on Saturday, June 20 at 8:00pm and continue through Sunday, July 26 at The Colony Theatre, 555 North Third Street (at Cypress) adjacent to the Burbank Town Center.
