Creede Repertory Theatre's 45th Season is coming to a close. But wait…. you still have two more weeks to catch a CRT production! CRT currently has three shows playing in rep: Alfred Hitchcock's The 39 Steps - this reimagining of the Alfred Hitchcock film has a cast of four playing over 150 characters. This Day and Age - a sophisticated comedy centers on the radical assertion of a well-to-do widow: that life goes on, and, The Joy of Going Somewhere Definite - three drunken loggers set forth into the snowy north woods one night to do a good deed for an even drunker stranger. The Joy of Going Somewhere Definite is rated R.

Casting has been announced for the national tour of 'The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess,' winner of the 2012 Tony Award for Best Musical Revival, which will open at the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre on April 23 and play through June 1, 2014. (Preview on April 22.) The tour, accompanied by a 23-piece orchestra, is set to launch at San Francisco's Golden Gate Theatre this November.

William H. Macy and Felicity Huffman, Macy's wife, will get two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, ET Online reports. The double stars will be side by side and will be given on the same day. The couple, which has been married for 14 years and has two children, is only the second couple ever awarded the honor by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.

Continuing in its ongoing efforts of supporting new musical theater works, Eric Schaeffer, Artistic Director of Signature Theatre, announced today that the Tony Award®-winning theatre is commissioning two new musicals under Signature's American Musical Voices Project (AMVP): The Next Generation. Composers Joshua Rosenblum (Einstein's Dreams, Fermat's Last Tango) and Josh Schmidt (Adding Machine, A Minister's Wife) will be creating new musicals for future seasons at Signature. In December of 2011, Mr. Rosenblum and Mr. Schmidt were awarded "honoree grants" and shared selections from projects in development at a special performance held at Signature Theatre.
