Colburn award, for their exemplary achievements and contributions to the worlds of classical music and the performing arts in Los Angeles and throughout the world. Kicking off their 60th Season, The North Fork Community Theatre (NFCT) of Mattituck gets in the Halloween spirit with a very entertaining production of Mel Brooks' classic Young Frankenstein, The Musical. Directed by Long Island theatre vet Bob Kaplan, it is certain that you will thoroughly enjoy this hilarious show now playing through October 29th. This is indeed a special treat not only because it is the beloved show, but it is being done 'in living black and white'. In a nod to the 1974 movie incarnation starring Gene Wilder - the source the musical is based on - practically all of the visuals in this production are black and white.

3-D Theatricals (3DT) rings in its 2017-1018 season at both the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center (RBPAC) and the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts (CCPA) with Mel Brooks' Young Frankenstein, a musical comedy from the Broadway creative team of the 12-time Tony Award winning smash hit The Producers. The production, with music and lyrics by Brooks and a book by Thomas Meehan, is a hilariously tuneful show based on the 1974 smash hit film Young Frankenstein which was a wickedly inspired re-imagining of the Mary Shelley classic from the comic genius of Mel Brooks. Orchestra of St. Luke's returns to Carnegie Hall for three concerts in the fall including its annual subscription series presented by Carnegie Hall, opening on October 12 with Conductor Laureate Pablo Heras-Casado on the podium.
