The Colony Theatre will present the second production of its historic 40th Anniversary season, the West Coast Premiere of WHAT I LEARNED IN PARIS by Pearl Cleage. The production stars Tony winner L. Scott Caldwell, and is directed by Saundra McClain. WHAT I LEARNED IN PARIS will preview on Wednesday, September 3; Thursday, September 4; andFriday, September 5 at 8:00pm. It will open on Saturday, September 6 at 8:00pm and continue through Sunday, October 5 at The Colony Theatre, 555 North Third Street in Burbank.

Chicago's most established resident theater presents a 90th anniversary "season to celebrate," a line-up of new and contemporary works on its two stages-the 856-seat Albert Theatre and 400-seat flexible Owen Theatre. Today, Artistic Director Robert Falls and Executive Director Roche Schulfer announced six plays (of eight)-half of which were developed by commission and/or workshop in the Goodman's new play development programs-that comprise the 2014/2015 Season, plus co-productions with Chicago's off-Loop theaters. BAM and Scott Rudin will present Goodman Theatre's renowned revival of Eugene O'Neill's The Iceman Cometh from February 5 through March 15, 2015. Directed by Goodman Artistic Director Robert Falls and featuring Tony Award-winning stage and screen actors Nathan Lane (as Theodore "Hickey" Hickman) and Brian Dennehy (as Larry Slade), the production, including its original Chicago cast, is slated for a six-week run in the BAM Harvey Theater. Ticket on-sale dates will be announced in the fall of 2014.

Schmoes Knows, who scooped the recent Tim Burton/BEETLEJUICE sequel news last week, claims that sources have confirmed that Paul Rudd and Rashida Jones are finalizing their deals to lead Edgar Wright's upcoming film, following Henry Pym, 'a brilliant scientist who invented a substance that allowed him to change his size.' Jones would play Janet Van Dyne, later known as The Wasp.

Sources have confirmed that the duo will be meeting with Marvel execs and Wright an additional time before any deal is offered. The publication also reports that an additional actor may also be approached, though a name was not given.

After a trip to Doha in Qatar last week, screen and stage actor Kevin Spacey has been inspired to head back to the Middle East to encourage the arts and to make live theatre more accessible. He plans to leave his post as artistic director at London's Old Vic theatre in 2015.
