George Bernard Shaw's 1923 play about the rise and fall of Joan of Arc closes the Donmar's autumn season, following One Night In Miami. Its main focus is female emancipation, highlighting the struggles that Joan faced to make her way through a man's world - as well as doing her best to stay true to her religion and loyalty to her country.

What defines a family--those people who love by sacrificing their own life for someone else? In a lavish production where Chris March's luscious costumes touch the senses, Skylight Music Theater stages the 1983 Broadway musical La Cage Aux Folles. Scenic Designer Liliana Duque Piñeiro complements March's fabulous costumes by hanging a serpentine curtain of reflective silver strips across the stage that sparkles when Lighting Designer Noele Stollmack illuminates the fluid curtain with a rainbow of colors throughout the production Originally written by Harvey Fierstein with music and lyrics by Jerry Herman, this musical based on a French play by Jean Poirot, won multiple awards in its production year and also in several later revivals.

Andrew Upton's new adaptation for Sydney Theatre Company of the 1907 French farce, A Flea in Her Ear by Georges Feydeau, is realised in all its clockwork-precision by the creative team behind STC's Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead: director Simon Phillips, designer Gabriela Tylesova and lighting designer Nick Schlieper. Performances are at the Drama Theatre, Sydney Opera House from 31 October to 17 December (opening 4 November 2016).

The entirely predictable, but nonetheless hilarious comedy about a swinging Paris bachelor and his three stewardess fiances is performed with energy and elan by the excellent company of actors in a briskly paced staging by Dawn McAdams.
