London's Dirty Water Records, together along Metronomo Management (Lisbon), Peer Music and Alter-K Records (Paris) and in cooperation with Sony Music/Jive Epic, are pleased to announce the US and UK album release of 'Misfit' by European blues-punk sensation, The Legendary Tigerman (A.K.A. Paulo Furtado). 'Misfit' will be released on Dirty Water Records in the US and UK territories on August 24th, 2018 and will feature limited edition white coloured 12' vinyl coupled with four exclusive and unreleased bonus tracks entitled 'Misfit Ballads EP'.

Working intimately with directors like Yasujiro Ozu, Akira Kurosawa, Kenji Mizoguchi and Kon Ichikawa on some of their most important films, Kazuo Miyagawa (1908-99) pushed Japanese cinema to its highest artistic peaks through his lyrical, innovative, and technically flawless camerawork. Considered the greatest cinematographer of postwar Japanese cinema whose career endured through the 1990s, Miyagawa has influenced generations of leading filmmakers around the world.

Following a sell-out season at the Abbey Theatre as part of the 100th anniversary celebrations of the 1916 Easter Rising, as well as a successful Irish and US tour, The Plough and the Stars comes to the Lyric Hammersmith as a co-production with the Abbey Theatre.

The Providence Performing Arts Center announced today that the Rhode Island Philharmonic will perform Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in Concert on Saturday, April 28, 2018 as part of the Harry Potter Film Concert Series. The concert will feature the Rhode Island Philharmonic performing live, to picture, every note from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Audiences will be able to relive the magic of the film in high-definition on a 40-foot screen while hearing the Rhode Island Philharmonic perform John Williams' unforgettable score live. Ken Bloom, author of the new book SHOW AND TELL: The New Book of Broadway Anecdotes has won a 2017 Grammy Award in the category Best Album Notes along with his collaborator Richard CarlinIt's for Harbinger's Sissle and Blake Sing HUFFLE ALONG CD. This was Bloom's second Grammy nomination. His recording of “Maxine Sullivan Sings Great Songs from the Cotton Club” was previously nominated as Best Jazz Vocal Album.
