American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) announces the final show of its 2008-09 season: Edward Albee's At Home at the Zoo, staged by acclaimed director Rebecca Bayla Taichman (world premieres of Theresa Rebeck's The Scene and Mauritius and Sarah Ruhl's Dead Man's Cell Phone). This new spellbinder by the master playwright who also penned Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and A.C.T.'s The Goat, or Who is Sylvia?, is a meticulously calibrated and dangerously brutal look at relationships intimate and unexpected. The story opens with Peter, a tweedy book editor, and his wife, Ann, whose everyday conversation takes an unexpected turn into dangerously personal territory. The season opens with Kafka on the Shore, adapted for the stage and directed by ensemble member Frank Galati, based on the work by Haruki Murakami and featuring ensemble members Francis Guinan and Jon Michael Hill. The season continues with The Seafarer by Conor McPherson, directed by ensemble member Randall Arney and featuring ensemble member Francis Guinan, Tom Irwin, John Mahoney and Alan Wilder. Following The Seafarer is Art by Yasmina Reza, translated by Christopher Hampton and directed by ensemble member Rick Snyder. The fourth play is The Tempest by William Shakespeare, directed by ensemble member Tina Landau and featuring ensemble members Alana Arenas, K. Todd Freeman, Frank Galati, Jon Michael Hill, Yasen Peyankov and Alan Wilder.

Les Misérables in Concert makes its Hollywood Bowl debut in a production featuring Melora Hardin as Fantine, Maddie Levy as Young Cosette, Tom Lowe as Enjolras, Michele Maika as Cosette, Michael McCormick as Thénardier, J. Mark McVey as Valjean, Lea Michele as Éponine, Brian Stokes Mitchell as Javert, Sage Ryan as Gavroche and John Lloyd Young as Marius. Rosie O'Donnell, who was to play the role of Madame Thenardier, has withdrawn from the performances in order to care for her eldest son, who broke his wrist. She will be replaced by veteran actress Ruth Williamson.

Eric Schaeffer, artistic director of Signature Theatre, announced today that two-time Tony® winner George Hearn will join another two-time Tony® winner Chita Rivera for Kander & Ebb's musical The Visit - a highlight of Signature Theatre's national Kander & Ebb Celebration in the spring of 2008.

Encore Entertainment will be presenting Willy Russell's popular musical, Blood Brothers, at the Toronto Centre for the Arts (Studio Theatre), 5040 Yonge Street, from April 26 until May 6, 2007. All evening performances begin at 8:00 p.m.; Sunday matinees begin at 2:00 p.m.

Playing at the Toronto Centre for the Arts from Oct. 26-Nov. 5, 2006 is a production of A.R.Gurnry's hit comedy SYVIA.

Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schoenberg's THE PIRATE QUEEN, the spectacular new musical from the authors of Les Miserables and Miss Saigon, will play a pre-Broadway, World Premiere engagement in Chicago from October 3rd through November 26th, 2006.

Award winning filmmaker Taylor Hackford will make his Broadway debut as director of the new musical, Leap of Faith, to premiere in the 2007-2008 season.

SPRING AWAKENING will begin previews Thursday, May 18, 2006, officially open Thursday, June 15, 2006 and play a limited engagement through Sunday, July 9, 2006.
