Today, BTG is thrilled to announce the complete and final casting of this exciting revival - the first ever full-scale New York City and Off-Broadway revival of the hit musical!

Actors Co-op (Ovation Award-Winner 2014 Best Intimate Theatre Musical for 110 in the Shade) presents the first show in its celebratory 25th Silver Anniversary season with OUR TOWN, by Thornton Wilder and directed by Richard Israel.  OUR TOWN will preview on Wednesday, September 14 and Thursday, September 15 at 8pm and will open on Friday, September 16 at 8pm and run through Sunday, October 23 at the Actors Co-op David Schall Theatre, 1760 N. Gower St. (on the campus of the First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood) in Hollywood.

Berkshire Theatre Group (BTG) has just announced its sold-out production of Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick's Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical Fiorello! will transfer to Off-Broadway's East 13th Street Theater (136 East 13th Street, between 3rd and 4th Avenues), home of Classic Stage Company.

Initial casting has been announced for the Nottingham Playhouse and New Perspectives production of John Harvey's own adaptation of his acclaimed novel Darkness Darkness which receives its premiere this autumn.

The Costa Mesa Playhouse presents the first production of its 52nd season, John Steinbeck's "Of Mice and Men," running July 29 through August 21, 2016.

This autumn Nottingham Playhouse and New Perspectives join forces with acclaimed novelist John Harvey to bring his most famous creation, jazz-loving detective Charlie Resnick, to the stage for the very first time. DARKNESS DARKNESS, which is Harvey's own adaptation of his bestselling novel, runs from September 30 to October 15. The production is part of the Playhouse's Sweet Vengeance season, which explores the themes of revenge, justice and resentments buried deep, in a series of work that also includes Peter Shaffer's Sleuth (September) and Thomas Middleton's The Revenger's Tragedy (November).

The American Symphony Orchestra and music director Leon Botstein return to Carnegie Hall for the ensemble's 55th season of concerts, the Vanguard Series, on October 19, 2016, and continue through May 12, 2017. Welcome Home, Captain Fox!, Anthony Weigh's new version of Jean Anouilh's hit 1937 comedy Le Voyageur Sans Bagage, will begin previews at The Donmar Warehouse from Thursday 18 February . The production is directed by Blanche McIntyre, and a cast that includes Michelle Asante, Barnaby Kay, Rory Keenan, Katherine Kingsley, Trevor Laird, Sian Thomas, Danny Webb, Fenella Woolgar and Daniel York.

The Montana Repertory Theatre production of Arthur Miller's classic, "All My Sons" comes to the McAninch Arts Center, located at 425 Fawell Blvd. on the campus of College of DuPage, Saturday, March 5 at 7:30 p.m. "Told against the single setting of an ordinary American backyard, it is a pitiless analysis of character that gathers momentum all evening and concludes with both logic and dramatic impact" (New York Times). This award-winning drama helped launch the successful and critically acclaimed career of one of America's greatest 20th-century playwrights.

The Oscar celebration starts early this year with PNC Pops: The Ultimate Oscars at Heinz Hall on February 5-7.

Sian Thomas will be taking on the role of Mrs Fox in the Donmar's production of Welcome Home, Captain Fox! replacing Francesca Annis who regrettably has had to withdraw from the production for personal reasons.

As BroadwayWorld reported this morning, Bette Midler will indeed return to Broadway in one of the most cherished shows in musical theater history when she takes on the role of Dolly Gallagher Levi in Michael Stewart's (book) and Jerry Herman's (music and lyrics) masterpiece, Hello, Dolly!. Directed by four-time Tony Award® winner Jerry Zaks, Hello, Dolly! will begin performances on Broadway on March 13, 2017, with an official opening night of April 20, 2017. Rehearsals begin one year from today. This new production of Hello, Dolly!, the first new production of this classic musical to appear on Broadway since it opened more than fifty years ago, will have at its helm Jerry Zaks as its director, and will feature choreography by Tony Award-winner Warren Carlyle. San Francisco, CA, December 18, 2015 – San Francisco's Opera Parallèle (OP) has announced its first main stage opera commission, the creation of a new opera by American composer Laura Kaminsky inspired by the life of Georgia O'Keeffe at the time she left New York to embark on her iconic and influential experiences in New Mexico. The company has been awarded a prestigious Repertoire Development Grant from Opera America in the amount of $35,000 to support the work's initial stages of creation and workshopping, and is set for an April 2019 premiere. The opera will feature a libretto by Mark Campbell and Kimberly Reed. The production team will be led by Opera Parallèle Creative Director Brian Staufenbiel, will be conducted by OP Artistic Director and founder Nicole Paiement and will feature a cast of ten, details will be announced. The production is being undertaken by Opera Parallèle in consortium with American Opera Projects and Cornish College of the Arts, and all three co-commissioners will present performances and other activities to be announced. Duck and cover, make it to high ground, stop, drop and roll, batten down the hatches -- prepare to weather the storm! BroadwayWorld has learned that the new musical DISASTER! will begin performances on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 and officially open on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Broadway's Nederlander Theatre (208 West 41st Street).

It's Halloween weekend and every dramatic personage and theatrical type we've ever encountered is caught up in the annual rush to find just the right costume for their holiday revelries (we confess we've never had the knack for coming up with Halloween get-ups - not since we went in drag to a party at the First Baptist Church as the age of 12…tongues were wagging, we are certain, but we lived to tell about it, so it couldn't have been that bad). In the meantime, there are all sorts of onstage happenings this weekend to keep you otherwise engaged should the difficulty of selecting your costume prove to be too much.

The noted poet, professor, lawyer and translator passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends at the age of 97 on June 27, 2015 in Norwood, Mass.
