CHICAGO – Following its highly praised Unique Voices triple bill, The Joffrey Ballet closes its 2014-2015season celebrating 20 years in Chicago with “New Works,” a mixed repertory program featuring two Joffrey/Chicago Premieres -- In Creases by New York City Ballet resident choreographer and soloist Justin Peck and Liturgy by Christopher Wheeldon -- along with the U.S. premiere of Evenfall from the Joffrey's own ballet master Nicolas Blanc and the return of Incantations by Val Caniparoli. The Joffrey Ballet presents “New Works” in ten performances only tonight, April 22-May 3, 2015. Please note: The National Football League has moved its annual draft from New York to Chicago's Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University, and the Joffrey is pleased to accommodate the NFL and help secure this event for Chicago by agreeing to relocate this program to the Cadillac Palace Theatre, 151 W. Randolph Street, Chicago.

At the 19th annual Pell Awards, Trinity Rep will award Debra Messing with the Pell Award for Distinguished Achievement in the Arts. John Chan, jazz promoter and owner of Chan's Fine Oriental Dining in Woonsocket will be honored with a Rhode Island Pell Award for Excellence in the Arts. Dancer and choreographer Julie Strandberg will receive the Charles Sullivan Award for Distinguished Service in the Arts and Trinity Rep's former executive director, Michael Gennaro, will be awarded with the Pell Award for Outstanding Leadership in the Arts. The ceremony will be held Monday, June 15, 2015 at Trinity Rep with a reception to follow at the Providence Public Library.

Celebrated violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter concludes her residency as one of this season's Carnegie Hall Perspectives artists with two April concerts in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage. She is joined by pianist Yefim Bronfman and cellist Lynn Harrell for a chamber program featuring Beethoven's Piano Trio in B-flat Major, Op. 97, 'Archduke' and Tchaikovsky's Piano Trio in A Minor, Op. 50 tonight, April 14 at 8:00 p.m.

On the heals of its hit musical production Titanic, Griffin Theatre Company continues its 2014-15 season with Lanford Wilson's acclaimed drama BALM IN GILEAD directed by ensemble member Jonathan Berry and featuring an ensemble cast of 27 actors and musicians. The evening will feature a candid interview of Mr. Forsythe by PNB artistic director Peter Boal, a peek behind the curtain to watch Mr. Forsythe working with PNB dancers, and an opportunity for audience members to ask questions. This is Mr. Forsythe's first visit to PNB to work directly with PNB dancers, and we couldn't be more excited to welcome this groundbreaking artist to our studios.

Palo Alto Players held its third annual Season Announcement party on January 31, unveiling the shows for its 2015-16 season - as well as a new logo! Managing Director Diana Lynn Wiley and Artistic Director Patrick Klein worked with Joey McDaniel to create the new public face of Palo Alto Players. "Joey is a great friend of Palo Alto Players," said Wiley. "Audience members would recognize him from his role as Igor in last season's Young Frankenstein, and he's also playing Uncle Fester in our upcoming production of The Addams Family.
