Yale Repertory Theatre presents the world premiere of PEERLESS by Jiehae Park, directed by Margot Bordelon, November 27-December 19 at Yale Repertory Theatre (1120 Chapel Street). Opening Night is Thursday, December 3. The cast of PEERLESS includes Teresa Avia Lim, Christopher Livingston, Caroline Neff, JD Taylor, and Tiffany Villarin.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced that Olivier Award-winning actor Conleth Hill, accomplished on both stage and screen, will play the title role opposite Frances McDormand in a new production of Macbeth directed by Daniel Sullivan, opening in February 2016.

The Old Globe today shared its 2016 Summer Season, which will feature new and familiar works directed by four major American stalwarts. The season features the welcome return of Steve Martin (Bright Star) with the World Premiere of his new play Meteor Shower, an adult comedy, directed by Gordon Edelstein, in a co-production with Long Wharf Theatre, where he serves as Artistic Director. Paul Gordon's musical Sense and Sensibility will have its West Coast premiere, presented in association with Chicago Shakespeare Theater, where it had its world premiere in February 2015, directed by CST Artistic Director Barbara Gaines. The Summer Shakespeare Festival will include Macbeth, directed by Brian Kulick, Artistic Director of Classic Stage Company, and Love's Labor's Lost, directed by three-time Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall.

The stage and screen star reprised her critically-acclaimed performance in THE AUDIENCE after a West End run in 2013, and she was just one of many to 'pop across' an ocean for a stab at Broadway.  An unprecedented amount of British talent took over Broadway last year, bringing us such productions as THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME, WOLF HALL: PARTS 1 & 2, and SKYLIGHT.   It doesn't seem like the trend is ending anytime soon. This fall, Broadway will welcome a slew of British actors- some of whom will be making their US stage debuts in incoming productions. And it's not just performers. We're getting some complete British imports in shows like A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE and KING CHARLES III. Below, we're taking a moment to shine a spotlight on this season's British imports.

The Lyric Hammersmith today announces its Spring 2016 Season. They will present the first professional production of Simon Stephen's HERONS since the play premiered at the Royal Court in 2001, directed by the Lyric's Artistic Director Sean Holmes. This is followed by the return of their co- production with Filter Theatre of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM last staged in 2012. Whilst the Royal Opera will present, two contemporary operas, PLEASURE by Mark Simpson featuring well-known British soprano Lesley Garrett and the world premiere of Sarah Kane's 4:48 PSYCHOSIS by Philip Venables, both presented in association with the Lyric.

The Old Globe's GLOBE FOR ALL returns to bring free professional Shakespeare directly to diverse, multigenerational audiences in underserved communities around San Diego County. This second year of GLOBE FOR ALL follows a highly successful inaugural production in 2014. One of the Bard's most charming comedies, MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING, will be directed by renowned Shakespearean Rob Melrose, Artistic Director of San Francisco's Cutting Ball Theater, who makes his Globe debut. He directs a cast of local professional actors, including recent graduates of the Old Globe/University of San Diego Graduate Theatre Program.

The Gorges Motel, an evening of short plays by authors including Gretchen Cryer, will have its world premiere on Wednesday, October 7th, for a limited engagement of seven performances only - tonight, October 7th and October 8th, 9th 10th, 14th, 15th and 16th at TBG Theatre at The Barrow Group Studios (312 West 36th Street 3rd Floor). The production is directed by Five Time Emmy Award winner Chris Goutman.

Classic Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Managing Director Jeff Griffin, has announced that its production of IPHIGENIA IN AULIS, acclaimed playwright Anne Washburn's (Mr. Burns, a post-electric play) transadaptation of Euripides' final play, directed by Obie Award winner Rachel Chavkin (Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812), will extend through Sunday, October 4 at CSC (136 East 13th Street). IPHIGENIA IN AULIS features original musical by The Bengsons and choreography by Sonya Tayeh. Following a hugely successful West End season in 2012/13, this critically acclaimed Chichester Festival Theatre adaptation of Michelle Magorian's classic novel returns to London for a limited 10 week season. The story is brought beautifully to life in David Wood's Olivier Award winning stage version. Ian Seraillier's highly acclaimed and much-loved children's novel, THE SILVER SWORD, will receive its world stage premiere at Coventry's Belgrade Theatre from Sat 26 Sept - Sat 3 Oct before embarking on UK Tour throughout Autumn 2015.
