Winner of 19 major international awards, Stephen Daldry's legendary production of J.B Priestley's classic thriller AN INSPECTOR CALLS returns for a 28-week national tour this autumn, coming to the Theatre Royal Glasgow from Tuesday 3 until Saturday 7 November.

'Can we all get along?' This famous plea uttered by Rodney King during the 1992 L.A. Riots, a reaction to the acquittal of the four LAPD officers who severely beat him a year earlier, is often what he's most remembered for. I admit that after more than 20 years, I had forgotten many of the details, and didn't even realize that he died three years ago. But in this one-man show written and performed by Roger Guenveur Smith, Rodney King's story comes alive again - the good, the bad, and the ugly. It's a virtuoso performance that is poetic and lyrical, harsh and disturbing. Roger has performed this piece around the world and has brought it to St. Paul's Penumbra Theatre for just two weeks. It's definitely something to see.

Australian Playwright, Nick Enright's thought provoking play, A PROPERTY OF THE CLAN returns to the Sydney stage in a time when society still has a problem with violence against women. Presented with maturity and sincerity, this fictional work, based on a true story is unfortunately still as important and topical for today's society as it was in 1992 when it was first staged.

Visceral Dance Chicago will begin its 2015-2016 season with a Fall engagement at the Harris Theater in Millennium Park, the first mainstage Chicago performance of the company's third season. Fall Engagement, as the program is titled, will include a world premiere by Artistic Director Nick Pupillo and a company premiere by Fernando Melo, as well as three exciting works created in the company's second and inaugural seasons.

Since returning to her native Bay Area in 2006 from a period of living and working in Europe, vocalist Laurie Antonioli has concentrated her creative energies on her American Dreams band, which backed her on last year's breakthrough Origin Records release 'Songs of Shadow, Songs of Light.' For her new Origin CD, 'Varuna,' Antonioli returns to an important chapter in her musical life by recording intimate sessions with her collaborator of more than 25 years, the esteemed pianist Richie Beirach. The CD, Antonioli's 6th as a leader, will be released September 18.

Five new plays addressing issues of race, class, sexuality, immigration and identity are part of this year's New York International Fringe Festival. Each play questions the traditional American narrative, with central characters and themes representing a person or group on the margins of American society, living outside the box of the idealized American life.

This summer, Apollo's Fire embarks on its fourth international tour, performing with world-renowned violinist, Alina Ibragimova, at the BBC Proms in London (Aug. 15), The Aldeburgh Music/Snape Proms in the UK (Aug. 16), and performing a separate chamber program at the Tuscany Musical Landscapes Festival in Italy (Aug. 21). Apollo's Fire's debut at the BBC Proms will be followed by a VIP reception hosted by the U.S. Embassy Chargé d'Affaires. Additionally, Apollo's Fire presents “Greatest Hits of the 1720s” at the prestigious Tanglewood Festival in Lenox, MA on July 2.

The Shakespeare Theatre Company, recipient of the 2012 Regional Theatre Tony Award, is pleased to announce the return of Potted Potter: The Unauthorized Harry Experience -- A Parody by Dan and Jeff, a 75-minute comedy production featuring all seven Harry Potter books, written and performed by two-time Olivier Award-nominated actors Daniel Clarkson and Jefferson Turner. The production returns for a three-week engagement, tonight, May 30 - June 21, 2015, in the Company's Lansburgh Theatre (450 7th Street NW).

The weekend is upon us and that means that tonight is opening night for a couple of new shows (with performances continuing through the weekend) and closing performances of several others, including Newsies (at TPAC), Circle Players' The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and the farewell production of GroundWorks Theatre's Starlite Waltz.
