Artists accepted into The Brick Resident Artist Program have demonstrated the highest level of excellence and invention in the New York theater scene. These are the artists you have only just begun to hear of; presented alongside pedigreed artists who have already won your hearts. They will change your expectation of Off-Off Broadway and they will reinvent the experimental and non-traditional theater world as you know it.

[ai] is a new adaptation of Ayn Rand's novella, Anthem, which tells the story of one man's pursuit of individuality in a totalitarian dystopia, where the word "I" was considered unspeakable and the root of all evil.
The protagonist of the story, EQUALITY 7-2521, discovers a tunnel which holds the secret knowledge of the past, and through trials and error, discovers electricity. However, instead of being accepted as an innovator, he becomes condemned by the society and ends up an outcast.
The production incorporates physical movement and is partially devised, with a goal to open up a forum of discussion on controversial issues, such as the tyranny of the majority, the concept of freedom, individuals' need for a community, and within the concept of a community, the difference between sameness and equality.

Two pubescent siblings, Kurt and Olga, navigate the inherent violence and unintentional betrayal of growing up -- in all its cruelty, humiliation, and exhilaration within a claustrophobic home. Incest and arson binds Kurt and Olga and destruction results. Their withdrawn parents recognize the damage too late which leads to the ultimate and irreparable climax.
FIREFACE is a frenetic portrayal of the most tempestuous time of a child's development realized through 100 cinematic scenes. Having been translated into 19 languages with productions all over the world, this marks the New York premiere of the award-winning German play.

Title:Point turn their hectic gaze toward beginnings and endings in the palindromic fever dream, Never Odd or Even. Five isolated human shapes pivot through time and space while navigating the fantastical beasts, dead playwrights, confounding mathematicians, and earnest cowboys they encounter and become.
Title:Point is an experimental theatre company that has been producing work in a wide variety of spaces in NYC and around the US since 2006, among them Incubator Arts Project, AS220, Dixon Place, Lost Horizon Night Market, Invisible Dog, Panoply Performance Lab, Secret Project Robot and many more. Title:Point currently serves as the resident theatre company at The Silent Barn in Brooklyn, NY, where they produce full plays, a monthly salon, marathon readings and screenings, 100% Themed Parties, and their stage version of The Room (titlepoint.org).

HOW TO GET INTO BUILDINGS is an exploded view of love; confusion blends with confidence, time keeps shifting, amateurs are experts, and brunch can be fatal.
Trish Harnetiaux's previous productions include If You Can Get To Buffalo (Incubator Arts Project/Son of Semele) and Welcome to the White Room (Glass Mind Theatre/Baltimore); she developed this play in the Soho Rep Writer/Director Lab, received her MFA in Playwriting from Brooklyn College, and is a New Georges Affiliated Artist and current member of Ars Nova Play Group. Director and New Georges Jam member Katherine Brook's recent credits include Pink Melon Joy (Brave New World) and She Is King (Incubator Arts Project). New Georges, in business since 1992, invests in artists (who are women) of assertive imagination - individually, as collaborators and as a community - and advances exuberantly theatrical new plays (like this one!) through productions, several varieties of play development programs, and our indispensable workspace, The Room.
