St. Ann's Warehouse will continue the inaugural season in its new waterfront theater with the American Premiere of Irish composer Donnacha Dennehy and writer-director Enda Walsh's thrilling new opera The Last Hotel, in a Landmark Productions / Wide Open Opera production. The Theatre School at DePaul University (John Culbert, Dean) is pleased to present The 2015 Awards for Excellence in the Arts gala on Monday, November 9, 2015, in the Atlantic Ballroom of the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel. The Radisson Blu is located at 221 North Columbus Drive. The event will begin with a 6 PM cocktail reception, followed by dinner and program at 7 PM, and will conclude with a dessert reception.

After having worked together for over 7 years, Stuart Thompson and David Turner are forming a new general management company, Thompson Turner Productions, which will have King Charles III as its first Broadway credit and will continue to be a general management company for Broadway and touring shows. Thompson will continue to produce under the umbrella of Stuart Thompson Productions.

BroadwayWorld has learned that Roundabout Theatre Company's 50th Anniversary Gala: 'Spring Gala 2016: Celebrating 50 Years of Extraordinary Theatre' will recognize the accomplishments of six-time Tony winner Audra McDonald and Roundabout's Chairman of the Board Thomas E. The Ruth Page Center for the Arts will hold its annual Ruth Page Gala at the Union League Club of Chicago, 65 W. Jackson Blvd., Today, May 16. The evening begins at 5:45 p.m. with a VIP Reception, followed by dinner and entertainment from 7 p.m. - 11 p.m. Gal Co-Chairs are Sasha Gerritson and Sara Stewart Schumann. The evening, hosted by WGN News Anchor Micah Materre, will include two award presentations, the Cultural Ambassador Award presented to Mesirow Financial for 'Mesirow Financial Presents!,' and the Community Partner Award presented to the Union League Boys and Girls Clubs; live performances by Artist In-Residence Ruth Page Civic Ballet; and a live auction presented by auctioneer, Bart Darfler. A highlight of the live auction will be a trip for two to Cuba as part of a cultural exchange program between the Ruth Page School of Dance and Cuba's Escuela Nacional de Ballet.

At the 19th annual Pell Awards, Trinity Rep will award Debra Messing with the Pell Award for Distinguished Achievement in the Arts. John Chan, jazz promoter and owner of Chan's Fine Oriental Dining in Woonsocket will be honored with a Rhode Island Pell Award for Excellence in the Arts. Dancer and choreographer Julie Strandberg will receive the Charles Sullivan Award for Distinguished Service in the Arts and Trinity Rep's former executive director, Michael Gennaro, will be awarded with the Pell Award for Outstanding Leadership in the Arts. The ceremony will be held Monday, June 15, 2015 at Trinity Rep with a reception to follow at the Providence Public Library.
