A story of PTSD before it had a name, Home Front, by James Duff is the story of a young Vietnam Veteran returning home to his 'normal' life and the fiasco that results when his family attempts to host a Thanksgiving Dinner.

1959 was a heck of a good year for Broadway overtures.  The majestic trumpet fanfare and lowdown bump and grind of Gypsy's is generally regarded as the best in musical theatre, but there was also the rousingly rhythmic curtain-raiser to Fiorello! and, my personal favorite, Philip J. Lang's beautiful interpretation of Bob Merrill's music for Take Me Along, which touches on so many moods of the show while continually building the toe-tapping climax of The catchy title tune.

AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) was proud to announce the statuesque Julie Newmar as their emcee for Out of the Closet's Cheap Chic Fashion Show and Auction on Saturday night, May 2nd at their Out of the Closet (www.OutoftheCloset.org) in Hollywood at 6210 Sunset Blvd. This 21-and-over fundraising event, orchestrated by Designer Louis Natividad, was built around a timely theme-?Tough Times, Great Solutions!?-and will benefit AHF, the largest AIDS group in the US, which currently provides more than 15,000 free HIV and STD tests annually in California via its community-based testing programs. The fashion show, that began at 9:00 PM featured models decked out in trendy and affordable wares straight off the racks of ?Out of the Closet,? year-round purveyor of ?cheap chic? and great solutions in tough times!

Falls' cast includes stage and screen stars Carla Gugino (Entourage, Spy Kids, Sin City) Pablo Schreiber (Vicky Cristina Barcelona, Awake and Sing!), Boris McGiver (The Wire) and Daniel Stewart Sherman (Broadway's Cyrano de Bergerac). The centerpiece production of Goodman Theatre's two-month 'A Global Exploration: Eugene O'Neill in the 21st Century,' Desire Under the Elms appears January 17 - March 1 in the Goodman's 856-seat Albert Ivar Theatre. Desire Under the Elms has just announced that it will transfer from Chicago's Goodman Theatre to Broadway's St. James Theater. Previews will begin on April 14, with opening night set for April 27th.

The New York Times is reporting that famed Costume Designer Florence Klotz's Tony Award is for sale on eBay, the starting bid for the trophy at $10,000 (with an option to buy it outright for $20,000). But the Times has a huge inaccuracy in the piece, as they describe Ms. Klotz herself as posting the auction, which is fairly impossible as she sadly passed away in 2006.
