New Titles Coming to Amazon Prime Video and Prime Video Channels October 2018

Artistic Director Rupert Goold today announces the Almeida Theatre's new season.

October brings four Prime Original series, one Prime Original series special and one Prime Original movie exclusively available for Prime members to stream or download at no additional cost to their membership.

The Bushwick Film Festival (BFF) has announced the full program for their 11th annual run. This year's Opening Night will be sponsored by Spectrum and kicks off on Wednesday,October 10th with a Red Carpet Reception and screening at House of Yes. The festivities will continue through Sunday,October 14th, with 40+ events ranging from feature and short film screenings to special events, parties and panels. The festival will also premiere 5 short documentaries created by 15 young storytellers from Bushwick who participated in Bushwick Stories; BFF's free summer filmmaking workshop sponsored by community partner B&H Photo and Canon. Following sold-out UK tours in 2016 and 2017, and a critically acclaimed hit run at the Arts Theatre in the West End in 2017, The Wipers Times will once again tour the UK this Autumn. It opens at Nottingham Theatre Royal on 28 August 2018, and visits Oxford, Exeter, Malvern, Leicester, Eastbourne and Birmingham before returning to the Arts Theatre in London for a 7 week season. After a successful run in Central Park, playing to over 4,000 people, performances resume on Wednesday, June 27 in Rockefeller Park/Battery Park City for New York Classical Theatre's critically acclaimed production of Romeo and Juliet, directed by the company's Founding Artistic Director Stephen Burdman. The production will play this week through June 30, before continuing on to The Battery, Carl Schurz Park, and Brooklyn Bridge Park for performances through July 29. There is no ticketing, and all performances are free and open to the public. Performance schedule can be found at newyorkclassical.org.

On Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Severance Hall, America's preeminent performing arts television series Great Performances in association with ideastream will record The Cleveland Orchestra's 100th Anniversary Gala Concert for an exclusive U.S. television broadcast on PBS slated for 2019. The broadcast is a co-production of The Cleveland Orchestra, ideastream, and THIRTEEN Productions LLC for WNET.

The Flaming Lips announce their first official “hits” collection on Warner Bros. Records to be released on June 1. Greatest Hits Vol. 1 will compile eleven WBR-era singles and album tracks on a single black vinyl pressing. This is the first time The Lips have presented singles from Transmissions From The Satellite Heart (1993), Clouds Taste Metallic (1995), The Soft Bulletin (1999), Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots (2002), At War With The Mystics (2006), Embryonic (2009) and their current album Oczy Mlody (2017) on a single disc. The Deluxe digital and Deluxe 3-CD Editionof Greatest Hits Vol.1 significantly expands the concept of their “hits” and gathers some of their best-loved album tracks from the aforementioned albums plus deep cuts from their WBR album debut, Hit To Death In The Future Head (1992), along with music from, Zaireeka (1997), The Flaming Lips And Heady Fwends (2012) and The Terror (2013). New York Classical Theatre (Stephen Burdman, Artistic Director), New York City's only all-free professional Off-Broadway theatre company, is pleased to announce a new production of William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet to celebrate its 19th Anniversary Season. The production, directed by Mr. Burdman, is the company's first staging of Shakespeare's tale of star-crossed lovers, and will be presented in five New York City parks - Central Park, Rockefeller Park/Battery Park City, The Battery, Carl Schurz Park and Brooklyn Bridge Park - with performances from June 5 through July 29 at 7:00 PM. There is no ticketing, and all performances are free and open to the public. New York Classical Theatre also invites audiences to experience unique behind-the-scenes access to open rehearsals on selected dates for each of the five park stagings.

Partial Comfort Productions (Samuel D. Hunter's A Bright New Boise, Robert O'Hara's Booty Candy, Thomas Bradshaw's The Bereaved) presents the New York Premiere of DUTCH MASTERS by Greg Keller (Wit with Cynthia Nixon, Michael Mayer's Uncle Vanya on Broadway). The production marks the directorial debut of Andre Holland (Academy Award-winner Moonlight, Jitney on Broadway). This limited Off-Broadway engagement runs through April 21 at The Wild Project.
