The FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training continues its 2016-17 season with contemporary playwright Adam Bock's THE DRUNKEN CITY. A high-energy comedy about life and love, the production is directed by returning guest artist Jesse Jou, whose work was last seen on the FSU/Asolo Conservatory stage in 2014 with How I Learned to Drive.

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley continues its 2016/2017 season with the Regional Premiere of Velina Hasu Houston's international comic drama, Calligraphy. Two continents, two cultures, two estranged sisters, and two cousins determined to bridge the gap between them, are all boldly calligraphed in this free-wheeling work set in Los Angeles and Tokyo, past and present.  East and West collide as Japanese free-spirit Sayuri and biracial American Hiromi care for their feuding mothers, whom they gamely hope to reunite before it is too late. Directed by TheatreWorks Associate Artistic Director Leslie Martinson, Calligraphy will be presented by TheatreWorks Silicon Valley March 8-April 2 at Lucie Stern Theatre, 1305 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto. Producers Michael De Luca and Jennifer Todd today announced the third slate of presenters for the 89th Oscars® telecast. Hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, the Oscars will air live SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 26, on the ABC Television Network.

The Warner Theatre will show Puccini's TOSCA: Live in Rome starring Placido Domingo and Catherine Malfitano in the Nancy Marine Studio Theatre on Saturday, April 1 at 1:00 pm as a fundraiser to benefit opera programming at the Warner.
