HAMLET IN BED, written by Michael Laurence and directed by Lisa Peterson, begins previews tonight, August 28, and opens September 17, 2015 (a week later than the previously announced date of September 10). HAMLET IN BED plays at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, 224 Waverly Place. Joining Mr. Laurence in the cast is Annette O'Toole. The production runs through Sunday, October 25.

Pulitzer Prize winning playwright (2014 The Flick), Annie Baker's play, The Aliens, will have its Sydney premiere at The Old Fitz from tonight 25 August - 19 September.  

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater's Artistic Director David Van Asselt and Managing Director Brian Long have announced that HAMLET IN BED, written by Michael Laurence and directed by Lisa Peterson, will now open Thursday, September 17, a week later than the previously announced date of September 10. The change was made to accommodate for the holiday weekend.

Composer Paola Prestini, the Creative and Executive Director of National Sawdust (NS), today announced programming for the non-profit's inaugural fall season in its new home-a $16 million, 13,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art chamber hall in the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The play will open tonight, July 23 for an eight-performance run outdoors at Sycamore Hill, the home of Drs. Veronica Covalesky and Nick Leasure, at 481 Ebelhare Road. Directed by Seth Reich, the production features a cast of New York actors.

Since he is disabled by a crippling disease, Army veteran Darryl Dean Wright spends most of his waking hours at the computer in his home in Elizabethton, Tennessee. 'The first manuscript Darryl sent me contained over 300,000 words,' said Karen Stone of Waldenhouse Publishers, Inc. 'I had to break it up into 3 parts even to begin to get a handle on it.'

The panelists will include Greg Grandin, Morgan Jenness, and Michael Ratner.

Annie Baker's charmingly comic off-Broadway hit CIRCLE MIRROR TRANSFORMATION wraps up the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park's 2014-15 season tonight, May 9 through June 7 in the Playhouse's Thompson Shelterhouse Theatre. When a random group of small-town strangers come together for a six-week community center acting class, real-life drama results. While Baker's quirky characters are definitely not Broadway bound, they are transformed in surprising and unexpected ways over the course of the class.
