Sometimes it seems there is so much theater happening that it's difficult to keep track of it all. From personal experience, despite all the datebooks, smart phones, tablets, desktop computers and laptops...it's hard to keep everything straight in this wacky business of the show.

An official Art Basel Miami Beach event celebrating its 12th year, Breakfast in the Park happens on Sunday, Dec. 6 from 9:30 a.m. - noon at the Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum FIU  (map and directions). This year's event presents American sculptor Alice Aycock as guest-speaker, . Ms. Aycock is represented by the Fredric Snitzer Gallery in Miami. The Snitzer Gallery has generously loaned one of Alice Aycock's sculptures to the Museum during Art Basel week for Breakfast in the Park 2015.

The Black Rep opens their season with a classic from their repertoire, and it features an enthusiastic and talented cast that are perfectly capable of recreating these vintage numbers for a new generation to enjoy.

Playing at the Kam and James Morris Theatre in Lakeway, TexARTS presents the all-time audience favorite, GUYS AND DOLLS from August 14-23. Full casting is announced for the first major London revival of The Cocktail Party in over 25 years, which will be staged in the main auditorium at the iconic Coronet, and marks a transitional moment in the building's redevelopment as the larger space becomes home to the Print Room's eclectic programme. 'A Spectacular Night with the Stars: The golden age of Hollywood in retrograde at the dawn of the empire of television' is a play conceived, created and devised by Brain Melt Consortium and directed by Rachel Kerry. The year is 1960 and Hollywood's most famous film stars are in trouble. The empire of cinema has fallen and a new medium is rising to take its place: television. Judy, a movie star as talented as she is troubled, has decided to take drastic measures in the face of this change and invites America into her home for a televised variety show filled with her most famous friends. But things are not what they seem in this fabulous affair: Satanism, serial killers, madness and mayhem lurk around every corner. It all culminates in a terrifying occult ritual that may or may not end the entertainment industry as we know it. Its world premiere will be presented by Theater for the New City's Dream Up Festival September 11 to 20.
