Alley Theatre Artistic Director Gregory Boyd announces the cast and creative team for Alan Ayckbourn's science fiction comedy Communicating Doors. Eleven plays penned by Alan Ayckbourn have been produced by the Alley, including the American premiere of Henceforward, directed by Ayckbourn, in 1987 and House & Garden in 2002. Alan Ayckbourn has been inducted into the American Theatre's Hall of Fame, received the 2010 Critics' Circle Award for Services to the Arts, became the first British playwright to receive both Olivier and Tony Special Lifetime Achievement Awards and was knighted in 1997 for services to the theatre.

Philadelphia Dance Projects closes a season full of regional and world premieres with the presentation of a moving new work by Choreographer Niki Cousineau and Designer Jorge Cousineau, together as Subcircle. Michael Cumpsty's first appearance on a Roundabout stage was in 1987 as a "moonstruck poet" in the Off-Broadway production of George Bernard Shaw's Man and Superman. Since then, he has appeared in 17 Broadway shows including five Roundabout productions and has been nominated for a Tony Award and two Outer Critics Circle awards. Cumpsty's most recent appearance on Broadway is in Machinal, now playing at the American Airlines Theatre through March 2.

Signature Theatre celebrates the start of its 25th anniversary season next fall with an all-new production of Sunday in the Park with George, the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical. Directed by Associate Artistic Director Matthew Gardiner and staged in the MAX Theatre, this production marks the first time Signature has produced the play since the theatre's co-production with Arena Stage in 1997.
