The Garry Marshall Theatre is proud to present the Tony Award-winning Master Class, the first production of its Inaugural Season. Written by Terrence McNally, directed by Artistic Director Dimitri Toscas, and starring the Emmy-winning Carolyn Hennesy, this rich and vivid comedic play the New York Times calls "zestfully entertaining" will play a limited run September 22 through October 22.

The Hershey Community Chorus will host an open house on Monday, August 14, 2017, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. in the Community Room on the lower level of The Hershey-Derry Township Historical Society, located at 40 Northeast Drive, Hershey.  All are welcome. McCarter Theatre Center and Hartford Stage are pleased to announce the world premiere stage adaptation of Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express will head to its next destination as part of Hartford Stage's 2017-2018 season. Helmed by two-time Tony Award nominee Emily Mann and adapted by two-time Tony Award nominee Ken Ludwig, Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express will run at Hartford Stage in spring, 2018.

Music Director Alan Gilbert begins his final weeks by leading the New York Philharmonic in Schoenberg's A Survivor from Warsaw and Beethoven's Symphony No. 9. The program juxtaposes the tragedy and optimism of human experience through Schoenberg's depiction of the horror of the Holocaust and the message of hope, brotherhood, and joy in Beethoven's Ninth Symphony. Schoenberg's A Survivor from Warsaw will feature Gabriel Ebert as narrator (in his Philharmonic debut) and the men of the Westminster Symphonic Choir, directed by Joe Miller. Beethoven's Ninth Symphony will feature soprano Camilla Tilling, mezzo-soprano Daniela Mack (debut), tenor Joseph Kaiser (debut), bass-baritone Eric Owens, and the Westminster Symphonic Choir, directed by Joe Miller. The performances will take place Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at 7:30 p.m.; Thursday, May 4 at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, May 5 at 8:00 p.m.; Saturday, May 6 at 8:00 p.m.; and Tuesday, May 9 at 7:30 p.m. The program will be presented without intermission.

Chosen out of several dozen "anti-lynching" plays, most written by African American women between 1916 and 1934, are four one-acts which will be presented through spring of 2017 in the Portland Metro area.

This year's program features a revival of Nijinsky's L'Apres-Midi d'un Faune staged by the 98-year-old Ann Hutchinson Guest, a new and as-of-yet untitled pas de trois by Pam Tanowitz, Frederick Ashton's La Chatte métamorphoses en femme, and Antonia Franceschi's She Holds Out Her Hand which premiered at Danspace in Fall 2016. All pieces will be performed to live music. A post-show celebration with wine, hors d'oeuvres, and music will be held after the opening night performance for which tickets are $75.
