The Ogunquit Playhouse, America's Foremost Summer Theatre was honored to have John Dempsey, the author and lyricist of the musical comedy The Witches of Eastwick, in the audience on the evening of September 18th. After the show Mr. Dempsey joined Executive Artistic Director Bradford T. Kenney and the cast backstage to congratulate them on their performances and to take a group photo. He visited with James Barbour who stars in the Ogunquit production as Darryl Van Horne, as well as with Sally Struthers (Felicia Gabriel), and the three leading actresses Nancy Anderson (Sukie Rougemont), Sara Gettelfinger (Alexandra Spofford)and Mamie Parris (Jane Smart). For the first time in Sweden, The Witches of Eastwick. Do you want to join? Then it is time for you to send in your application. It will be played on Cirkus in Stockholm from September 2019. Peter Joback is involved in the production with his company Sinclair Entertainment. So far there is no information if he will play the lead or if he is one fo the producers. Peter Joback originated the role as Michael Spofford when the show opended in London the 18th of July 2000.

The new family musical special, The Christmas Rose, features a cast of over 400 and stars the multiple Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning actress Jane Seymour and legendary Broadway actor and Tony nominee Lee Roy Reams. The Christmas Rose, with music and story by PBS composer Tim Janis, follows a young orphan named Annabelle, played by thirteen year old Bailey Grey, into the desert where she crosses paths with everyone from the three wise men and singing angels to Mary and Joseph, while being pursued by a team of desert bandits. The Christmas Rose is created in association with the Ogunquit Playhouse and is on stage at Carnegie Hall one night only Thursday, November 29 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are available by calling (212) 247-7800 or online at www.carnegiehall.org. On Wednesday, December 4, 2013, Youth Communication (YC), the award-winning nonprofit publisher and advocate of reading and writing, will present Listen v. Lock-Up: Unheard Stories from Teens in Trouble. This unique and powerful one-night-only theatrical event features the voices of one of New York City's most marginalized groups: teens who have been through the justice system. The performance will take place at Morgan Stanley and will benefit Youth Communication's literacy and youth development programs.
