Oxygen Media, the destination for high-quality crime programming, debuts the shocking new series, 'Smiley Face Killers: The Hunt for Justice' on Saturday, January 19 at 7pm ET/PT. The series follows an active private investigation spearheaded by retired NYPD Detective Kevin Gannon and his veteran team of investigators as they work with victims' families and top forensic experts to further investigate and question that the country's most notorious string of mysterious, accidental drownings aren't accidents, but homicides; and they could all be connected to a larger theory of The Smiley Face Killers.

Jazz at Princeton University presents guest artist and Blue Note Records trumpeter Ambrose Akinmusire in the world premiere of Slightly Left of Sorrow's Song, commissioned by Jazz at Princeton University to commemorate the 150th anniversary of W.E.B. DuBois' birth. Akinmusire will perform the 8-movement suite with the school's Small Group I under the leadership of saxophonist and program director Rudresh Mahanthappa.

The Music Center announced it will present two star-studded concerts, JONI 75: A Birthday Celebration Live at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion on November 6 and November 7, 2018, featuring an incredible array of singers and musicians who will honor one of the world's most remarkable artists, Joni Mitchell, on her 75th birthday. On both nights, Glen Hansard, Emmylou Harris, Norah Jones, Chaka Khan, Diana Krall, Kris Kristofferson, Los Lobos, Graham Nash, Seal, and Rufus Wainwright, will perform songs from all stages of Mitchell's life and career, across the entire oeuvre of her 19 studio albums. Co-musical directors, providing the musical arrangements for the evenings, are drummer Brian Blade, who recorded three studio albums and toured extensively with Mitchell, and, pianist, composer, arranger producer Jon Cowherd.

11th Hour Theatre Company is set to heat up June with the World Premiere of the emotional new musical Big Red Sun. This World Premiere musical, which the company helped develop is set to run May 31-June 17. Written by John Jiler & Georgia Stitt this it opens June 4 at 7 p.m. It is directed by 11th Hour co-founder and Resident Director Megan Nicole O'Brien with Music Direction by 11th Hour regular Dan Kazemi. All Shows will be at Christ Church Neighborhood House, 20 N. American Street.

Director Julie Taymor made the importance of having the animals, which play a big part in the story, represented through costumes, masks, and puppets when it was first being put to the stage in 1997. Taymor also devised a concept to theatrically represent the story and heart of show on stage with what she called the 'double event.' The double event is the representation of the animals through the costumes, puppets, and masks, but still having the human or the actor visible to the audience.
