CABARET GOURMET -- the Obie Award-winning Play Company's annual benefit that combines gourmet foods from top NYC restaurants with an evening of first-rate entertainment -- will be presented this year on April 22, 2013 at 7:00 pm at the American Airlines Theater Penthouse (227 W. 42 St.) with the Tony Award-nominated actor Daniel Breaker (PASSING STRANGE) featured as the event's host and performer.

Berkeley Playhouse has announced the lineup for its sixth season. The family-friendly season of musicals timeless and new opens in October with Andrew Lippa and Brian Crawley's enchanting A LITTLE PRINCESS, directed by Berkeley Playhouse Artistic Director Elizabeth McKoy. Marissa Wolf returns to the company to direct Meredith Wilson's THE MUSIC MAN in February, followed by THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE in April, directed by Kimberly Dooley. Closing the MainStage season is SHREK THE MUSICAL directed by Elizabeth McKoy in July. In addition to the MainStage season, the company will present winter, spring, and fall YouthStage productions. FLASHDANCE-THE MUSICAL, the stage adaptation of the 1983 hit film that defined a generation, will perform at the Majestic Theatre for eight performances June 18-23. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m., Friday, March 1.

The Country Playhouse will present Kimberly Akimbo by David Lindsay-Abaire in its Black Box venue for three weekends only, April 12 - 27. Due to scheduling and transportation issues related to Hurricane Sandy, Prospect Theater Company has decide to postpone its one-night-only staged reading of Rob Urbinati's Death By Design, originally scheduled for Monday, November 5. A rescheduled date will be announced when available.
