According to In Touch, Broadway veteran and wife Hilaria are expecting their first child together. A close friend revealed: 'Hilaria has told only really close friends and family she is pregnant, only a close circle she trusts." The New York Times is reporting that Alec Baldwin will return to Broadway in the Spring of 2013 in a new production of OPRHANS, to be directed by Tony-winner Daniel Sullivan. There is no word yet on a theatre or additional cast members for the production.

According to contactmusic.com, 30 Rock's Alec Baldwin revealed in an interview with Men's Journal Magazine that he is developing a new Broadway musical with director Scott Ellis. No dates have been set and few details have been released.

On April 2, 2012, at New York's Avery Fisher Hall in Lincoln Center, musical artists and stars will come together to show their support for a special evening billed as "A Celebration of Paul Newman's Dream," to benefit Paul Newman's Association of Hole in the Wall Camps. The event will feature performances by world-renowned performing artists, the campers themselves and a special announcement about the Association's global network of camps. Performances will include GRAMMY-winning and GRAMMY-nominated musicians: Josh Groban, Paul Simon and Trisha Yearwood, as well as additional surprise musical performances throughout the evening and appearances by Jake Gyllenhaal and Jimmy Fallon, with more to be announced. Ticket sales from the evening - which is supported by Newman's Own Foundation and hosted by Joanne Woodward, produced by Kevin Duncan and directed by Josh Rhodes - will benefit Paul Newman's family of camps and programs supporting children facing serious illnesses from around the world.

The New Yorker today features an article that highlights the favorite albums of Broadway veteran Alec Baldwin, which feature the musical of musical theatre legend Stephen Sondheim. Baldwin writes: 'Stephen Sondheim is responsible for many of the greatest musicals of the past half century; this odd, ultimately haunting collection of set pieces is my favorite. Take your pick between the original recording, with the great Victor Garber and Jonathan Hadary, or the 2006 revival with Michael Cerveris and Denis O'Hare.
