Folger Theatre launches its 2014/15 season in Rome with William Shakespeare's enduring political tragedy, Julius Caesar from tonight, October 28 - December 7, 2014.

Now in its sixth consecutive year, the multi-award-winning Finborough Theatre presents Vibrant 2014 - A Festival of Finborough Playwrights, its annual explosion of new writing and part of its 20 Premieres season, running between 2-20 November 2014.

John Douglas Thompson will lead a company of 19 actors playing 60 roles in the first major New York production since Broadway 1956 of Christopher Marlowe's 1587 epic Tamburlaine, Parts I and II, Jeffrey Horowitz, Founding Artistic Director of Theatre for a New Audience, announced. Directed and edited by Olivier Award-winner Michael Boyd, former Artistic Director of the Royal Shakespeare Company, Marlowe's two-part drama will be performed as one 3.5-hour play, plus a 30-minute intermission.

Edinburgh Festival sensation, FOREST FRINGE will transform Abrons Arts Center for a building-wide microfestival, this weekend, October 3-5, 2014.

Labyrinth Theater Company (Artistic Director Mimi O'Donnell, Managing Director Danny Feldman), the award-winning, downtown ensemble, today announced its 2014-2015 season, including A Sucker Emcee, written and performed by Craig muMs Grant, The Insurgents, a new play by Lucy Thurber, and Nice Girl, written by Melissa Ross. Playwrights Horizons has announced initial casting for its upcoming 2014/2015 Season. The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey's 52nd Season opens with The Tempest, Shakespeare's final great work. Performances begin May 28th and continue through June 22nd at the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre, 36 Madison Ave. (at Lancaster Road) in Madison.
