Cutting Ball Theater opens its 17th season with LIFE IS A DREAM by Pedro Calderon de la Barca. Following the sold-out success of last season's Antigone, Acting Artistic Director Paige Rogers (Tontlawald, Mud) helms this Calderon classic, in a new translation from resident playwright Andrew Saito, commissioned by Cutting Ball. The South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) kicked off its Spring fundraising with a spectacular Texas Hold 'em Tournament and Casino Night on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at The Crestmont Country Club in West Orange. The Ruckus continues its 2014-15 season with the Midwest premiere of BARBECUE APOCALYPSE, Matt Lyle's acclaimed comedy about adulthood, insecurity, and the transformative possibilities of total disaster. The Thomas Murray-directed production of the play called 'a show I enjoyed so much ... that I actually paid to see it again' (Lindsey Wilson, American Theatre) will run February 15 - March 15, 2015 at the Athenaeum Theatre (2936 N Southport Ave.) in Chicago. Jung's theories). Many authors say the process of writing a novel is filled with synchronicity. It's happened to me, too. So often I thought I'd made something up, only to later discover obscure historical facts backing up my inventions.
