Playwrights Horizons has announced additional casting for PLACEBO, the world premiere of a new play by Obie Award winner Melissa James Gibson (This at PH, What Rhymes with America, Suitcase, [sic], the FX series 'The Americans,' 'House of Cards' on Netflix). Directed by Obie Award winner Daniel Aukin (This at PH, The Fortress of Solitude, Bad Jews, 4000 Miles, [sic]), the play will be the fourth production of the theater company's 2014/2015 Season.

Tony-and Emmy Award-winning production designer Derek McLane has received two nominations for this year's 19th annual Excellence in Production Design Awards. McLane will compete against himself in the Awards or Event Special category with his designs for the "86th Annual Academy Awards" and "Peter Pan Live!" The awards will be presented on January 31 from the International Ballroom of the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, with comedian Owen Benjamin as host.

Robert Richmond (Richard III and Henry V at Folger) directs the epic portrait of the battle between ambition and honor, conspiracy and loyalty, leading an outstanding ensemble including Anthony Cochrane (Broadway's War Horse and Folger's Henry VIII) as the honorable Marcus Brutus, and Maurice Jones, making his Folger Theatre debut as Caesar's closest ally, Mark Antony.
