Opera North make a welcome return to the Grand Opera House in 2012 with their acclaimed production of Gilbert and Sullivan's Ruddigore.



Sir Despard Murgatroyd is a man under pressure. He has inherited a witch’s curse forcing him to commit a crime a day or die in agony.



So it’s a huge relief when shy Robin Oakapple is revealed as his long-lost elder brother – true inheritor of the curse. Robin’s chances with the prim Rose Maybud look doomed, but his troubles really start when his feeble crimes drag his exasperated ancestors back from the dead...

Bajo el título provisional de 'Guía Ilustrada del Musical en España' (1955-2012), se prepara una nueva publicación que pretende reoger todos y cada uno de los espectáculos músico-teatrales estrenados en este país, dando cabida a producciones de todos los formatos y procedencias, tanto adaptaciones como creación propia. Esta labor de investigación está siendo realizada por Iñigo Santamaría y el desaparecido Xavi Martínez.

Classical Composers To Be Featured W/ Ohio Light Opera

Classical composers like Victor Herbert, Jacques Offenbach, and Johann Strauss, along with 20th century lyricists Jerry Bock and George Gershwin, and the Victorian-era team of W.S. Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan will be featured when Ohio Light Opera opens its 31st season at The College of Wooster in June.
