The 81st season of the Brevard Music Center's (BMC) Summer Festival continues to dazzle with an extraordinary schedule of July events, highlighted by classical favorites, a magnetic performance with electric cello, a world premiere piano concerto by a Grammy Award-winning composer, a Tony Award-winning 'Broadway opera,' and Keith Lockhart's final appearances of the 2017 season.

Written by Drama Desk, Obie and Lortel Award-winning playwright A.R. Gurney (also known for Love Letters and The Dining Room), the plot follows what happens after a man going through a midlife crisis finds a dog in Central Park and brings her home without consulting his wife.

The Martin E. Segal Theatre Center announces the third annual Segal Center Film Festival on Theatre and Performance (FTP).

Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) will present "Waiting for Lefty", which will be the first play directed by new Artistic Director Michael Bradford.  "Waiting for Lefty" will be paired with "Severance", a new one-act play by Levi Alpert.  Performances will be held in the Nafe Katter Theatre from February 23rd through March 5th 2017.

The New York Philharmonic will present Beloved Friend - Tchaikovsky and His World: A Philharmonic Festival, January 24-February 11, 2017, featuring Russian-born Semyon Bychkov conducting works by Tchaikovsky as well as composers he was influenced by and whom he influenced, with piano soloists Yefim Bronfman and Kirill Gerstein.

The Joyce Theater Foundation, Inc. (Linda Shelton, Executive Director), will present the long-awaited NYC return of one of the world's most renowned ballet companies, The Joffrey Ballet, performing the New York premiere of its critically acclaimed production of Krzysztof Pastor's majestic Romeo & Juliet at Lincoln Center's David H. Koch Theater from March 29 - April 2.

'The Last Tycoon' opened last night at the Tabard Theatre, direct from its run at the Arts Theatre in London's West End. Adapted for the Tabard stage it depicts the heady days of the 1930's glamorous Hollywood scene. Written by Simon Levy, with the approval of the F Scott Fitzgerald Estate, and directed by Linnie Reedman.

Sheffield Theatres and English Touring Theatre today announce full casting for Phillip Breen's adaptation of D.H. Lawrence's classic novel LADY CHATTERLEY'S LOVER, which opens at the Crucible on 26 September before a UK tour to Oxford, York, Malvern, Salisbury, Brighton and Cambridge. Breen directs a cast including Hedydd Dylan as Lady Chatterley and Jonah Russellas Mellors. The company is completed by Aretha Ayeh, Will Irvine, Ciaran McIntyre, Eugene O'Hare, David Osmond, Rachel Sanders and Alice Selwyn.
