Tickets go on sale today for Signature Theatre Company's (James Houghton, Founding Artistic Director; Erika Mallin, Executive Director) production of HOME, the second production of Signature's 2008-2009 season celebrating the historic Negro Ensemble Company (NEC).

The 2009 season at the Almeida Theatre will include five premieres, two major revivals and a Shakespeare.

Classic 70s funk infuses pioneering hip hop theater artist Will Power's fierce new coming-of-age tale, debuting October 24 at The Children's Theatre Company (CTC). FIVE FINGERS OF FUNK, created by Power in collaboration with composer Justin Ellington and director Derrick Sanders, runs through November 16 on the Cargill Stage as the first show in the ctc4teens season.

'Gem of the Ocean' opens on October 11, with performances Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm and Sundays at 2 pm through November 16. Previews are scheduled October 3 through 10. Tickets are $25.00 on Thursdays and Fridays and $28.00 on Saturdays and Sundays, except opening night (October 11), which is $30.00 and previews which are $15.00. Westport Country Playhouse (Joanne Woodward and Anne Keefe, artistic directors, Jodi Schoenbrun Carter, managing director) will stage a masterful blend of comedy and drama, 'The Pavilion,' by Craig Wright, award-winning playwright and Emmy-nominated writer/producer of television's 'Lost,' 'Six Feet Under' and 'Dirty Sexy Money.' Directed by Chad Rabinovitz, Playhouse artistic associate, the production will run from May 13 through May 31.

BEEBO BRINKER CHRONICLES, the 2008 GLAAD Media Award-winning stage adaptation of Ann Bannon's groundbreaking pulp novels, will end its limited engagement run as scheduled on April 27. It is written by Kate Moira Ryan (25 Questions for a Jewish Mother, 2007 GLAAD Media Award Winner for Best Play) and Linda S. Chapman (Gertrude and Alice: A Likeness to Loving) and directed by Leigh Silverman (Well).

It is written by Kate Moira Ryan (25 Questions for a Jewish Mother, 2007 GLAAD Media Award Winner for Best Play) and Linda S. Chapman (Gertrude and Alice: A Likeness to Loving) and directed by Leigh Silverman (Well). As of closing, it will have played 17 previews and 63 regular performances at 37 Arts theater in Manhattan.

Xanthe Elbrick, Tony Award and Drama Desk Award nominee and winner of Theatre World Award winner for Coram Boy, will join the cast of the 2008 GLAAD Media Award winner BEEBO BRINKER CHRONICLES on Tuesday, March 25th.
