The premiere of Igor Stravinsky's Le Sacre du printemps and the ensuing riot in response to its revolutionary sound and Vaslav Nijinsky's radical choreography has become music and dance legend. Since that fateful night in 1913, this innovative piece of music has inspired countless composers and choreographers. Coinciding with the centenary of the work, director Anne Bogart and choreographer Bill T. Jones present the New York premiere of their collaborative piece, A Rite, as part of the 2013 Next Wave Festival.

Luke Longacre, Brandon J. Murphy, and Scott Zenreich star in this irreverent comedy, running tonight, July 11 through Sunday, August 11. Jay Duffer directs the production.

Richard Eyre will direct the world premiere of Stephen Ward, opening in the West End later this year. Tickets go on sale on 28 June 2013 for the production which will preview at the Aldwych Theatre from 3 December 2013 with press night on 19 December 2013 and is currently booking to 1 March 2014.

Arizona Theatre Company announced today that David Ira Goldstein, ATC's Artistic Director since 1992, will be leaving the Company in December of 2013. In his 21 seasons as artistic director, Goldstein led the Company to unprecedented levels of attendance, critical acclaim, community support, educational outreach and national prominence. During his tenure, he produced over 200 plays, workshops, readings and presentations in Phoenix and Tucson, while personally directing more than 40 mainstage productions ranging from classics to new plays to musicals.

Guild Hall, the visual and performing arts center on eastern Long Island, recently honored the recipients of the 28th Academy of the Arts Lifetime Achievement Awards: John Alexander for Visual Arts; Walter Isaacson for Literary Arts; Nathan Lane for Performing Arts and Mickey Straus, who received the Special Award for Leadership and Philanthropy. Marshall Brickman was the Master of Ceremonies with special guest presenters: Ken Auletta, Alec Baldwin, Jack O'Brien and Lorne Michaels. Tyler Perry's popular sitcom 'For Better Or Worse' is coming to OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network with a third season of all new episodes debuting in the fall of 2013.
