Florida Studio Theatre (FST) opens its fourth annual Children's Theatre Season with Pinocchio, a new, fast-paced adaptation of Carlo Collodi's timeless classic by Greg Banks. Produced through special arrangement with Plays for Young Audiences, this play centers on a misbehaving wooden puppet who dreams of becoming a real boy, but must avoid mischief in order to make his dream come true. Pinocchio will be performed in FST's Keating Theatre for the general public on Saturdays and select Sundays starting October 12.

Slip into a 70s NYC Vibe at Ethyl's Alcohol & Food Ethyl's Alcohol & Food is a wild ride back into 1970s New York City that injects new life into an Upper East Side scene that was once the hottest part of town. Ethyl's was founded in May 2016 and is led by an eclectic team of rock stars who were there in the heyday of the disco, punk and rock 'n' roll scenes in NYC. Co-owner and designer Paul Gerard is an acclaimed NYC restaurateur, chef and musician known for capturing the retro spirit of the city with places such as Belle Reve and Exchange Alley, after revamping larger venues like Soho House, and Soho Grand Hotel. He has also ventured into TV with his show Work The Line, with executive producers Anthony Bourdain and Tom Colicchio. Without stopping there, he continued to use his creative energy to design his latest project, Antique Bar & Bakery in Hoboken.

Boxcar Theatre is proud to announce a partnership with SF Sketchfest next year, titled SF Sketchfest at The Speakeasy: An Immersive Comedy Experience. The nationally recognized festival celebrates its 18th season, January 10 - 27, 2019, and for the first time Boxcar will co-produce six SF Sketchfest shows while its immersive hit, The Speakeasy, remains on hiatus. The Speakeasy will close for the holidays after the matinee on Sunday, December 2, with new shows starting on Thursday, January 31, 2019. The complete schedule for SF Sketchfest will be announced on November 16, and tickets will go on sale November 18 at boxcartheatre.org/sketchfest.

Based on the French fairy tale of the same name by Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont, Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST tells the story of a monstrous prince and a young woman who fall in love. Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST will take place every Sunday from May 21 to June 18, 2017.

Pasadena Playhouse - State Theatre of California is announcing entertainment and participants for the return of the Playhouse Block Party, in partnership with the Playhouse District Association, after last year's blockbuster inaugural event.  This all-day event, free to the public, is from 12-noon to 10:00pm on Saturday, June 8 on El Molino Ave. at Colorado Blvd.  There will be more than twenty -five performances on two different stages - a Main Stage and a Family Stage -- during the course of the day, in addition to activity booths hosted by some of Pasadena's most celebrated arts organizations, theatre tours, a silent disco, and more.

The Players' production of PINOCCHIO is based on Greg Banks' adaptation of the Carlo Collodi story. From the moment Gepetto creates him from a stick of wood, Pinocchio dreams of being a real boy. But will the all too tempting delights of puppet shows and Playland be too much for Pinocchio? When Gepetto is swallowed by a whale, it is up to this little puppet to show his courage and prove his love for his Papa is real. This is a new, fast-paced, story-within-a-story version of the classic Pinocchio tale.
