On October 24th through the 27th, MADCAP Comedy and Improv Troupe presented the John Bishop farce The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940 at Newman University's Jabara Flexible Theatre. Under executive artistic director Cameron Carlson and wife Lana, the show was a night of pre-war, German societal commentary and comedy amid a mysterious murder mystery in a Chappaqua, New York City mansion setting. Starring Vonda Newby-Schuster, Mark Barlow, Mary Lou Phipps-Winfrey, Crystal Meek, and Steve Dunn among many others, the show was a perfect selection for tying into their previous show Hounds of Baskerville and for what was Halloween weekend in Wichita.

Directed by LA Williams, the free sit-down run of MEASURE FOR MEASURE follows a three-week tour to the five boroughs that brought Shakespeare to audiences who have limited or no access to the arts. MEASURE FOR MEASURE will run through Sunday, December 8 with an official press opening on Friday, November 22.

Comedy Works Entertainment has announced A Skeptical Extravaganza of Special Significance live on Thursday, April 23, at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science Phipps Theater at 7:45 p.m. A Skeptical Extravaganza of Special Significance is a combination panel show, science quiz, physics demonstration and improv game that's filled with music and laughter. The show is the live configuration of the top 10 science podcast The Skeptics' Guide to the Universe (SGU), which has over 700 episodes and more than 107 million downloads. A Skeptical Extravaganza of Special Significance features the podcast cast as well as a special guest or two.

Singing the concert were former apprentices mezzo-soprano Emily Fons, tenor Jack Swanson, and baritone Will Liverman. Melissa Harkness will direct 413's production of Wilde's brilliantly witty and romantic classic. The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association announced today that it will reopen its outdoor concert venues—the Hollywood Bowl and The Ford—for the 2021 season.  Based on Los Angeles County Public Health guidance, the Hollywood Bowl will be able to welcome a limited-capacity audience of approximately 4,000 when concerts resume in May.
