Full casting is today announced for the world premiere of the new musical GROUNDHOG DAY, which previews at the Old Vic from July 11 with a press night on August 16. Carlyss Peer will play Rita Hanson, alongside the previously announced Andy Karl in the role of Phil Connors. Eugene McCoy plays cameraman Larry, and the ensemble cast includes Leo Andrew, David Birch, Ste Clough, Roger Dipper, Georgina Hagen, Kieran Jae, Julie Jupp, Andrew Langtree, Vicki Lee Taylor, Emma Lindars, Antonio Magro, Carolyn Maitland, Kirsty Malpass, Lisa Mathieson,  Jenny O'Leary, Leanne Pinder, Mark Pollard, Damien Poole, Jack Shalloo, Andrew Spillett and Spencer Stafford.

The Hawai'i Symphony Orchestra (HSO) will take concertgoers Over The Rainbow and beyond on Friday, March 18 at 7:30 pm at A Tribute to Judy Garland featuring acclaimed vocalist and recording artist Hilary Kole. ?The Cathedral of St. John the Divine, in collaboration with the Manhattan School of Music and Oratorio Society of New York, presents the world premiere of a transcription for organ, vocal soloists, and choruses, of Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 8, on Thursday, April 7th, at 7:30 p.m. at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, 1047 Amsterdam Avenue (at 112th Street), Manhattan. This event follows the two performances of the symphony in its original orchestration at the Cathedral on February 24th and 25th.

Michael Xavier, Siobhan Dillon and Fred Johanson will join Glenn Close in Sunset Boulevard, the second production in the partnership between English National Opera (ENO) and the GradeLinnit Company. 

 Lincoln Center's American Songbook series, a perennial highlight of New York City's arts season, is coming to Mesa. For the first time ever, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts has curated an additional American Songbook event, March 3-5, 2016, for Mesa Arts Center's intimate 550-seat Piper Repertory Theater. Performers for the Mesa series include cellist and songwriter Ben Sollee on March 3; vocalist and Orange is the New Black star Lea DeLaria on March 4; and actor/actress and Broadway greats Norm Lewis and Patina Miller in a shared evening on March 5.

According to The Globe and Mail, The Ontario Court of Appeal has upheld a 2014 decision directing accounting firm Deloitte & Touche to pay $118 million for negligence in its work as auditor for the now defunct live theatre company Livent, Inc. -- notorious for its connection to fraudulent producer Garth Drabinsky -- in the late 1990s.

On Tuesday, December 15, the Theater People Podcast welcome's Tony-nominee Norm Lewis, whose career on and off Broadway, in London's West End, and on the international concert circuit, spans nearly 25 years, and counting. He will be making his Feinstein's/54 Below debut with a holiday show running from December 20th to 24th at 9:30pm.

The Santa Barbara Symphony, under the baton of Maestro Nir Kabaretti, will usher in the year 2016 with a rousing New Year's Eve pops concert at the historic Granada Theatre in downtown Santa Barbara. Featuring a guest appearance by award-winning soprano Lisa Vroman, and a program of popular classics and favorites from stage and screen, the performance will begin at 8:30 pm. Abingdon Theatre Company has appointed Tony Speciale as its next Artistic Director. Mr. Speciale, currently represented Off-Broadway as director of The Absolute Brightness of Leonard Pelkey, succeeds Jan Buttram, who leaves her post after 22 years. Mr. Speciale begins October 1.
