It's been 18 years since I DO! I DO! closed after a 22.5 year run. That production held the world record for being the longest running musical with its original cast, also easily making it the most popular musical production in Chanhassen Dinner Theatres' history. I DO! I DO! will open September 24th to two weeks of previews with a grand opening on Friday, October 8th on Chanhassen's Fireside Theatre stage.

Master sleuth Sherlock Holmes and trusty sidekick Dr. Watson unlock the mystery of The Hound of the Baskervilles this summer at Central Square Theater, directed by Thomas Derrah of the American Repertory Theater. Featuring three actors taking on more than a dozen roles, this laugh-out-loud farce, by Steven Canny and John Nicholson, was a hit in both London and Lenox (Shakespeare & Company). The Hound of the Baskervilles plays at Central Square Theater from Thursday, July 22 through Sunday, August 22. The press opening is set for Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 8 PM.

Previews will begin today at Virginia's Signature Theatre for the world premiere musical Sycamore Trees written by Ricky Ian Gordon, the award-winning composer of the opera The Grapes of Wrath and the musicals Dream True and My Life with Albertine. A starry Broadway cast portrays Gordon's own family story - complete with a tough Bronx-born father and former 'Borscht Belt' singer/comedian mother - in a tale of two generations' struggles and triumphs in the decades from World War II through the 1990s.
