In this skillful study of a neurotic and complex woman, Strindberg reveals the power of his dramatic conceptions and the mastery he had acquired of his craft. The play was the last of a series of Strindberg's later historical dramas that are among the most powerful plays of the kind produced in modern times. August Strindberg Repertory Theatre will present the masterpiece at the Gene Frankel Theatre tonight, March 13 to 29 translated from the Swedish by Wendy Weckwerth, directed by Whitney Aronson.

Japan Society announces its 2014-2015 Performing Arts Season featuring works by visionary artists in music, dance and theater. 'Pennsylvania's Amazon Princess Railroad' (published by AuthorHouse) was first conceived by Neville B. Craig after an expedition to the Amazon River Complex - the first all-American expedition to South America. The book was first published in 1907 and now is being rereleased to a new generation of Americans by William Lawrence Adams. The book, in essence, looks at the railroad project that was started because of the visit from Emperor Dom Pedro II to North America, and how it was supposed to help Bolivia gain access to the Atlantic Ocean trade routes of that day, but fell short because of European bond-holder fraud.

In this toxic triangle, Adolph anxiously awaits the return of his wife to their seaside resort while being comforted by his worldly advisor, Gustav. But comfort soon turns to destruction as old wounds are opened, insecurities are laid bare and former debts are settled in this fierce and funny tale of obsession, honor and revenge.
