Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts announces upcoming shows and series confirmed to date for the 2015-2016 season.  The Dr. Phillips Center's anchor season of Broadway Across America and the resident companies of the Orlando Ballet and the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra will be joined by new series and festivals including the Morgan Stanley Jazz at Dr. Phillips Center subscription series, a Flamenco festival and a Chefs at the Dr. Phillips Center series.  

The Smith Center will welcome Paul Anka to Reynolds Hall this fall. Very few performing artists have made as great an impact on popular culture as Anka, who will perform his greatest hits accompanied by his backing band in Reynolds Hall on Friday, Sept. 18 at 7:30 p.m.

Legendary Grammy Award-winning songwriter and performer, internationally recognized theatrical rock pioneer Jim Steinman, will be celebrated in a new 54 Below show honoring his multiple #1 songs and albums at 54 Below next month, titled TOTAL ECLIPSE: THE MUSIC OF JIM STEINMAN, with the starry cast of the evening announced earlier this month, and famed Meat Loaf tour star and Steinman interpreter Karla DeVito joins the epic line-up this week.

Backed by the lush sounds of a full orchestra, Anka brings his talents to Pacific Symphony Pops for a high-energy concert filled with songs that have transcended generations. These include such hits as 'Put Your Head on My Shoulder,' 'You Are My Destiny,' 'Puppy Love,' 'Lonely Boy' and the illustrious 'My Way,' which became Frank Sinatra's signature song, and is the title of Anka's autobiography.

In the 2015-16 season, David Mirvish will present 14 shows in Toronto, consisting of seven shows in the Mainstage Subscription Series, three in the Off-Mirvish Subscription Series and four shows off-subscription.

A child star at the age or 15, Paul Anka was the youngest performer to ever appear at the Copa Cabana. He continues to tour extensively, performing to sold-out audiences around the world. Anka will return to the Van Wezel on March 2, 2015 at 8pm.

On January 29th, over 200 guests filled the Circle Ball Room at The Breaker's in Palm Beach for a thrilling evening of dinner, dance and music hosted by actor and singer Gianni Russo of "The Godfather" fame thanks to the efforts of a group of powerhouse chairs and committee members. International Chair was Herme De Wyman. Gala Co-Chairs were Anka Palitz, Jennifer Myerberg and Ann Van Ness. Dinner chairs were George J. Palladino and Jerrold St. George. William Shakespeare's famed star-crossed lovers bare their passion Uptown this summer as The Classical Theatre of Harlem (Ty Jones, producing artistic director; David Roberts, managing director) presents Romeo n Juliet at the Richard Rodgers Amphitheater in Marcus Garvey Park. Justin Emeka, who edited and adapted the tragedy to bring the colorful characters of Harlem to life, returns for the second year in a row as director. Performances, which are free and open to the public, run through this Sunday, July 27.
