The Lyric Stage Company of Boston presents BY THE WAY, MEET VERA STARK by Lynn Nottage, tonight, March 29 - April 27, 2013.

Producer Ken Davenport has announced that veteran stage actors Jenny Sterlin and Brendan Titley complete the cast of Broadway's powerful new production of Shakespeare's Macbeth, starring Tony and Olivier Award winner and two-time Emmy Award nominee Alan Cumming (Cabaret, 'The Good Wife').

CABARET GOURMET -- the Obie Award-winning Play Company's annual benefit that combines gourmet foods from top NYC restaurants with an evening of first-rate entertainment -- will be presented this year on April 22, 2013 at 7:00 pm at the American Airlines Theater Penthouse (227 W. 42 St.) with the Tony Award-nominated actor Daniel Breaker (PASSING STRANGE) featured as the event's host and performer.

Following its run at The Public Theater, Detroit '67, the much buzzed-about play by two-time NAACP Image Award recipient, Dominique Morisseau, will open at the National Black Theatre on Saturday, March 23. Directed by Kwame Kwei-Armah, the powerful drama will run through Sunday, April 14, presented by Time Warner. Prolific LA songwriter/musician Bob Beland, who has been active in the music industry since the early 1970's, has decided to make available free for public listening his entire back catalog on Soundcloud. This also includes his recent critically acclaimed album release 'Mar Vista'; a collection of songs written by Bob between 2010 and 2012 and it's instrumental companion EP, 'Forward & Backworks,' both recorded at his home studio in Los Angeles, Wrong Way Works. Says Bob, “'Mar Vista' for me is kind of a throwback to the old Buffalo Springfield records and their eclectic unpredictable nature. 'Forward & Backworks' is a concept for orchestra that includes two pieces also found on 'Mar Vista.'”

BROADWAY SINGS STEVIE WONDER, starring Tituss Burgess, Corey Cott, Rebecca Naomi Jones, Caissie Levy, and more, will take place live at le Poisson Rouge, April 14 at 9:30pm.

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater's Artistic Director David Van Asselt and Managing Director Brian Long have announced that the world premiere of Buyer & Cellar, written by Jonathan Tolins, directed by Stephen Brackett, and performed by Michael Urie, will begin performances Wednesday, March 20 at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, 224 Waverly Place, west of Seventh Avenue South. Opening night is set for Wednesday, April 3 at 7pm. Buyer & Cellar is scheduled to run through Saturday, May 4.

Each play will be presented once, following an eight to ten hour workshop with a director and actors from the New York theater community. In addition, special events are planned for visiting playwrights and translators.

Like the 2012 edition, which featured five new "Risk Translations" of August Strindberg's Chamber Plays, which were performed this fall as part of the main stage season as Strindberg Cycle: The Chamber Plays in Rep, this year's festival offers a unique opportunity to see plays in development, alongside the artists creating them, as the works find their theatrical voice.

Yale Repertory Theatre, in a co-production with American Repertory Theater, presents the world premiere of Marie Antoinette by David Adjmi, directed by Rebecca Taichman. Marie Antoinette will be performed at Yale Repertory Theatre (1120 Chapel Street) October 26 through November 17. Opening Night is Thursday, November 1.
