Dallas Theater Center continues its exciting and conversation-provoking 2012-2013 season with the regional premiere of The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity. This unique experience will transport audience members into the thrilling and aggressive world of professional wrestling, complete with a wrestling ring, while weaving a story of power and class in America. The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity runs at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre Friday, October 19 - Sunday, November 11.

The Washington Stage Guild celebrates its 27th Season with its distinctive repertory, an array of eloquent plays of idea and argument, passion and wit-smart theatre for a smart town. As always, The Washington Stage Guild's 2012-2013 season will include four productions of plays that delight and challenge audiences with wit, insight, and truth. There are always lessons to be learned in these great works, and the plays of the Stage Guild's 27th season revolve around the complex relationship between teacher and student, mentor and disciple, expert and novice, when the inevitable happens and the pupil takes flight. Three plays by a trio of the greatest writers the world has known-Dante, Shaw, T.S. Eliot-will be joined by the DC premiere of a recent Off-Broadway hit by the Englishwoman Karoline Leach.

Director Richard W. Browder (who plays Bernard) directs a cast that includes Asa Ambrister, Patrick Goedicke, George W. Manus Jr., Thomas Prunier, Ryan Vogel, Zach Parker, Peter Depp (from the Sundance Channel's Girls Who Like Boys Who Like Boys) and Blair Thompson (who took to his dressing room and refused to answer our questions-well, not really, but it sounds more interesting than "he missed the deadline, apparently.")

When Jim and Kay Thigpen announced at the beginning of their 27th Season that they would be officially retiring from Trustus Theatre - South Carolina's premiere professional theater which they co-founded in 1985 - the Trustus Board of Directors instantly formed a committee to fill their positions. In a meeting on Valentine's Day 2012 the Trustus Board of Directors officially announced that Larry Hembree will become the new Executive Director of the theatre with long-time Trustus Company Member and Associate Artistic Director Dewey Scott-Wiley taking the reigns as the new Artistic Director in the 28th season.

Written by and starring Drake, this drag tragicomedy with music is directed by Robert La Fosse (Tony Award nominee for Jerome Robbins' Broadway) featuring musical direction by Lance Cruce (Joan River's longtime pianist, Karen Finley's Make Love), original music by Trevor Kuprel, and video by Ned Stresen Reuter.
