Telly Leung, star of this season's new Broadway musical ALLEGIANCE opposite George Takei and Lea Salonga, will release a new album via Yellow Sound Label. SONGS FOR YOU will be released on Friday, November 20, with the lead single 'New York State of Mind' available today, October 23.

The National Alliance for Musical Theatre just announced the preliminary directors and casting for its 27th ANNUAL FESTIVAL OF NEW MUSICALS. The Festival will take place on Thursday, October 15 and Friday, October 16 at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues).

Producers Lorenzo Thione and Andrew Treagus announced today that Tony Award winner Lea Salonga and Telly Leung will co-star with George Takei in Allegiance, a new American musical, set to open on Broadway next season at the Longacre Theatre (220 West 48th Street).

The feature film adaptation of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's beloved fairy tale musical INTO THE WOODS is coming to movie theaters nationwide on Christmas Day and BroadwayWorld celebrates the man behind the music and lyrics with a new series highlighting the work of the iconic composer and lyricist, finishing today with a look at his work in the 1990s and 2000s.

Godspell's Telly Leung recently had an impromptu solo performance during a tour of a chapel in Florence, Italy. In this video, the Broadway star sings the fitting hymn 'Joyful, Joyful,' a capella, accompanied by the lovely accoustics of the church.

The New York Philharmonic will return to Bravo! Vail in Colorado for the Orchestra's 12th- annual summer residency there, performing six concerts today, July 18-25, 2014.

Paper Mill Playhouse concludes its 75th Anniversary Season with America's favorite musical, GREASE. With book, music and lyrics by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, Grease will be directed by Daniel Goldstein with original choreography by JoAnn M. Hunter. Additional songs are by John Farrar, Barry Gibb, Scott Simon and Louis St. Louis. Grease will play the Millburn, New Jersey, theater from May 28 through June 29, 2014. The New York Philharmonic will return to Bravo! Vail in Colorado for the Orchestra's 12th- annual summer residency there, performing six concerts July 18-25, 2014. Music Director Alan Gilbert will conduct three programs, July 18-20, featuring works by composers for whom he has advocated during his tenure, ranging from Nielsen to The Marie-Jose?e Kravis Composer-in- Residence Christopher Rouse. The other Philharmonic concerts will be conducted by Bramwell Tovey (July 23 and 25) and Ted Sperling (July 24), and will feature works by Copland, Gershwin, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, and Loesser, among others.

Los Angeles's exciting live, music performance space Rockwell: Table & Stage just welcomed Broadway & TV's Telly Leung (Broadway's GODSPELL, GLEE, RENT, WICKED) performing an electrifying evening of songs and personal anecdotes. Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) presents an unprecedented pairing of productions illuminates the work of composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim: Gypsy (CST's Courtyard Theater, February 6-March 23) and Road Show (Upstairs at Chicago Shakespeare, March 13-May 4), both directed by CST Associate Artistic Director Gary Griffin. With Sondheim's characteristic depth and musicality, Gypsy and Road Show each explore the ambitious pursuit of the American Dream during the defining period in our nation's history between the two world wars.
