Milwaukee Chamber Theatre (MCT) presents the Midwest premiere of THE GOOD FATHER by Christian O'Reilly. This contemporary Irish love story features local artists - and real-life married couple - Laura Gray and Jonathan Wainwright. The Joyce Theater Foundation and The National Ballet of Canada today announced the casting for Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, having its New York premiere at the David H. Koch Theater at the Lincoln Center, September 9 - 14, 2014.

From September 4-14, 2014, Houston Ballet launches its 45th season with the company premiere of John Neumeier's three-act ballet A Midsummer Night's Dream. The ballet is based on Shakespeare's lighthearted play of the same name and follows the hijinks and hilarity that ensues when a well-intentioned plan with a love potion goes awry. Created in 1977, A Midsummer Night's Dream has served as Mr. Neumeier's calling card, being seen as one of his most joyous and popular creations. Houston Ballet is the first American ballet company to perform the famous work and it is the first piece by Mr. Neumeier to enter the Houston Ballet repertoire.

Shakespeare & Company's Dennis Krausnick, a founder and also Director of Training, steps into the title role of Julius Caesar for a brief run beginning July 15 through August 2. Nigel Gore, who has been playing Caesar since it opened several weeks ago, takes a short-term leave from the show after this weekend's performance on Sunday July 13-Gore will be back in the role Saturday, August 9. Spellbound Productions present IN LAMBETH, written by Jack Shepherd, directed by Michael Kingsbury and designed by Ruth Sutcliffe. Opening night is slated for today, 11 July 2014 at 7.30pm, with the regular run continuing through Saturday 2 August 2014 (one preview 10 July).

The production is an homage to the Parking Lot, which is the Lower East Side's most famous Shakespeare venue and has been covered by media throughout the world for its uniqueness. The scruffy urban acre has been home to Shakespeare in the Parking Lot for two decades but is scheduled to be swallowed up when the long-vacant Seward Park Urban Renewal Area gives way to Essex Crossing, a giant mixed-used development, capping a half century of 'progress' since the city laid the groundwork for the megaproject by demolishing the tenement homes of 1,800 Lower East Side families.

To honor Shakespeare's 450th birthday, Bryant Park Corporation and The Drilling Company's Shakespeare in the Parking Lot will present 'Hamlet' in Bryant Park today, May 15 to 31, 2014. It is Bryant Park's first Shakespeare production and The Drilling Company's first Shakespeare production outside the municipal parking lot at the corner of Ludlow and Broome Streets, where its intrepid, bare-boned productions have become a New York tradition.

The 2013-14 Playwrights' Center McKnight Theater Artist Fellows Sun Mee Chomet, Denise Prosek and Stephen Yoakam, along with their collaborators, will present selections from works in progress on June 16 at 7 p.m. at the Southern Theater.
